Our family of three participated in the 1:30 PM to 5:00 PM session. We made four dishes, and since we completed every step ourselves, the satisfaction level was very high. The ingredients used were excellent, and we learned and were inspired a great deal. We even made coconut milk ourselves from freshly grated coconut, which is usually familiar to us in cans in Japan. The instructor taught us in a fun and polite manner, using a mix of English and a little Japanese. The dishes we made turned out perfectly! The Tom Yum Goong soup, in particular, was amazing. Our 12-year-old child even customized their soup by omitting chili peppers and cilantro, which they don't like. This is a highly fulfilling tour. While visiting tourist spots is great, we also recommend participating in a tour like this occasionally.
Come to Bangkok and experience cooking! Don't just shop and eat in Bangkok; you can also try a Thai cooking experience! [Thumbs up] This is the White Lotus Thai Cooking School in Bangkok. The entire process takes 3-4 hours, where you'll learn to make four dishes: mango sticky rice, Tom Yum Goong, Pad Thai, and Thai papaya salad. The Thai cooking instructor will introduce the necessary ingredients and guide you through the steps. You'll get to experience unique cooking steps like hand-squeezing coconut milk and pounding papaya for the salad. The instructor will interact with everyone, asking a few questions, especially if there's a larger group, which makes the atmosphere even more fun. And I must say, the four dishes I made myself tasted great, no misses at all, hahahahahaha.
An amazing cooking class experience! It allowed me to be a master chef for half a day 👩🍳 I traveled alone for this experience, and the instructors at the school were incredibly friendly and spoke excellent English! I highly recommend both the morning and afternoon classes, as they include a market tour and a brief introduction to some of the ingredients found there. You'll make a total of four dishes and receive a butterfly pea flower drink. The instructors explain each step in detail, so there's no need to worry about not being able to make the dishes. My instructor was Piao (pronounced: pee-ah), who was very kind and humorous—I absolutely loved her 👍. Upon completing the class, you'll receive a certificate. The instructor was very thoughtful and tried her best to transcribe our names into Thai on the certificate. Finally, she taught us how to fold an open white lotus flower, which perfectly complemented the school's excellent reputation and brought a wonderful experience to a close. I purchased the class through KLOOK, and I truly urge everyone visiting Thailand to give it a try. Afterward, you can explore the nearby flower market~ PS1: The school is located on the second floor. Enter the market through the main gate, which is opposite the landmark, then take the escalator on the left up to the second floor. The school will be on your right. There's a restroom outside the school, but it costs 5 baht to use when class isn't in session. It's free during class, so you might want to hold it in for a bit 😂. PS2: I noticed they have a luggage storage area, so if you have a suitcase, you can ask about it on-site~

This cooking class was an absolute blast from start to finish! The instructor was incredibly knowledgeable and made even complex techniques feel easy and fun. I learned so much, not just about the recipes, but also about the culture and history behind the dishes. The ingredients were fresh, the kitchen was well-equipped, and the atmosphere was so welcoming and friendly. I left feeling inspired and confident to recreate these amazing meals at home. Went to this class alone but the teacher never made me feel like I was alone. She was very accommodating to everyone. The facilities were also still new since they started recently. The ingredients were fresh and the food was so good. They gave us the recipe also for us to keep and remake. She also suggested what to buy in the market since this was the morning class. I will definitely do this again next time!
I have always wanted to do a cooking class in Thailand and this is more than I expected! The class is fun and very informative, our tutor Jeab is very passionate and funny, she taught us not only the herbs and ingredients but also some history of Thailand and many Thai culture within the market which is very interesting to know. and the food they prepared is professional, they make sure the thing is authentic and engaging. would definitely wanted to recommend to others and I think it is very worth for spending a whole afternoon with the money paid.
