Where Locals Eat: Korean BBQ of the Month
- Monthly Curated K-BBQ Spot – Visit a different restaurant each month, handpicked by a local for its authenticity and flavor. (Because the restaurant changes we let you know the exact location through email, it's always in the centre of Seoul!)
- Eat Like a Local – Skip the tourist traps and experience how real Koreans enjoy BBQ: casual, social, and full of flavor :)
- No Cooking Skills Needed – Your host will grill the meat and guide you through the local BBQ style.
- Complete Meal Included – Each guest receives meat, rice, stew, and shared banchan (Korean side dishes).
- Solo Travelers Welcome – Great for solo guests who want to enjoy BBQ without the minimum order rules many locals face.
- Flexible Locations & Times – Locations vary monthly, and timing can be adjusted with your host.
What to expect
Ever wish you had a local friend to take you to their favorite Korean BBQ (pork) spot? That’s exactly what this experience is. Each month, we visit a new KBBQ place, no tourist traps, just real BBQ joints where locals actually eat. You’ll get a full meal: juicy pork cuts, rice, stew, and amazing side dishes. Don’t worry if you’ve never done K-BBQ before, we’ll grill the meat for you and show you how we like to wrap, dip, and devour. Join us in the evening and we’ll throw in a Korean drink (hello, soju!) and can even teach you some classic drinking combinations. It’s not a lecture, it’s not a food tour, it’s dinner with new friends. Whether you’re flying solo or bringing a crew, come hungry and leave happy. This is how we do BBQ in Seoul :)

Reviews
We loved this tour! Our host was Alex. There was our group of 5, and one other. Communication was great, we knew where to meet. Alex was a wonderful guide letting us know about the area as we walked to the restaurant. At the restaurant Alex helped us share the best ways to enjoy our KBBQ, my favourite was the pickled radish, sauce, garlic, chive kimchi, delicious! I would really recommend this tour to give you that friendly local food experience where it feels like you are eating with friends.
The Host explained very well and took good care of the guests. I forgot his name unfortunately. the experience was very good and the bbq tasted delicious. the host also explained well, took pictures and provided additional beer. thank you!
Jin was a great guide to KBBQ. Took the time to explain side dishes and how to "normally" eat the food like Koreans. He also explained much about the culture behind the food and why Koreans love it so much. He was also quite helpful in getting my grandmother's phone back when she forgot it at the restaurant 😂
This was a great join-in dinner. Our host was quite knowledgeable and easy to talk to. He has great interpersonal skills, I saw how he was constantly trying to interact with everyone and making sure everyone is included in the conversation. He took us to a nice spot that wasn’t too crowded and the meat quality in that spot was great. I’d definitely recommend them again.
was fun, though because it is cold, others didn’t join so it was just me and the host, but he was nice and explained the traditional way to eat KBBQ well. would recommend if you’re solo traveling, since you cannot eat at those places alone. the place we went to was in the old central of Seoul, close by to the building in the second photo and the river in the third.
this was definitely a must try in seoul! our tour guide jay was very friendly and was able to provide the best experience ever!
He took me to a local restaurant that tourists don't usually go to. It was a Korean BBQ restaurant that I wouldn't have gone into alone, and I ate delicious pork with fresh vegetables. Korean food comes with a lot of side dishes, so I often don't know how to eat them or what they are, but my guide, Alex, explained everything carefully. Most importantly, the food is delicious! Alex's recommendations on how to eat were very tasty. He also told me about Korean culture and customs. He speaks a little Japanese. I recommend him!
Focusing on Korean BBQ pork, it not only saves you the hassle of finding a restaurant yourself, but also allows you to learn about the BBQ culture from the locals, which you might not notice on your own.
It was truly wonderful to enjoy barbecue and soju together with people from various countries. Kelvin really set the mood.
absolutely amazing!!!. Did the tour during our first night in Seoul, best decision ever. Food was delicious and Alex, our guide, was extremely entertaining and knowledgeable!
