Reviews
In preparing for my trip, I read countless travel guides and listened to everyone's accounts of the pros and cons of group tours and self-driving trips, which really made me conflicted. Later, a friend found out I was going to Western Sichuan and recommended this company to me. There were four of us in total, and the business van was very spacious and comfortable. Although we were a small group, the team leader took meticulous care of each of us. He knew that the mountain roads in Western Sichuan were winding and treacherous and required extra caution when driving, so he always drove with full concentration to ensure our safety along the way. At the same time, he planned the route of our trip in advance, taking into account various factors such as weather, road conditions, and the opening hours of attractions, to ensure that our trip was both safe and smooth. The driver's driving skills were excellent, and he was also very interesting. He knew a lot about the local history and culture and would explain the stories behind each scenic spot, so that we could appreciate the beautiful scenery and learn about the local customs and culture at the same time. The driver's photography skills were also top-notch! He prepared a professional camera and had extensive shooting experience, capturing the wonderful moments of our trip that we didn't record. Overall, the trip was very comfortable and satisfying.
Good to know
- Conditions in Tibetan areas are limited (water and power outages are common). Please bring your own toiletries, flashlights, wet wipes, etc. Friends with洁癖 (germophobia) should bring their own sleeping bags.
- This activity route involves high-altitude areas in Tibet. Children under 5 years old are not suitable to participate. Pregnant women, infants, patients with heart, lung, brain, and blood system diseases, and seniors over 70 years old should consult a doctor before traveling and proceed with caution, depending on their physical condition and ability.
- High-altitude travel has certain risks and unpredictability. All participants are deemed to be persons with full civil capacity, in good health, and aware of the risks of high-altitude tourism. Our agency will not be responsible for any compensation arising from altitude sickness if the travelers do not have underlying diseases such as high blood pressure, diabetes, or heart disease.
- There are no shopping arrangements on this route, and the team leader or driver will not make any shopping recommendations. During free time, if team members do not have shopping needs, do not bargain with locals or linger too long. If team members voluntarily shop, please discern product quality on your own. If a deal is reached after bargaining, please make the purchase. If you bargain and then regret not buying, it can easily cause trouble, and you will be responsible for any conflicts or disputes that arise.
- If there are no team members requiring special care, seats will be taken in rotation.
- The hotels listed in the itinerary will be arranged by our agency's room allocation staff based on room availability at various stages. Tourists/tour groups cannot unilaterally specify rooms. If the preferred hotel is full, an alternative hotel will be arranged; in special circumstances such as peak season, due to tight room availability, a hotel of the same class will be arranged. Hotels are arranged for two people per room, and the room type cannot be specified. If the total number of rooms is not affected, if the group encounters a single male or single female, our agency will arrange guests of the same gender or share a room with the team leader, or arrange a triple room. If the guest insists on their own opinion, the guest must pay the single room supplement directly to the hotel front desk (subject to the hotel's charges). Conditions in Tibetan areas are limited, and accommodation standards cannot be compared with those in cities. For environmental protection, it is recommended to bring your own toiletries. When entering the room, check the room amenities. If any amenities are missing, please notify the service staff immediately. In the room, please cherish the items according to hotel requirements. If there is any damage or loss, you will be responsible for compensation according to hotel regulations before checking out.
- Without reducing the main attractions, the team leader has the right to adjust the order of visiting attractions based on factors such as weather, flights, transportation, season, and peak season crowds.
- If some attractions in the itinerary encounter sudden accidents, closures for rest or maintenance, or other objective reasons, or if unexpected situations occur, the team leader will provide an itinerary change plan and try their best to ensure the smooth progress of the itinerary. The change plan will be voted on by all team members, with the minority obeying the majority. The visiting time will be adjusted or relevant ticket fees will be refunded according to the actual situation, and any additional expenses incurred due to the change will be borne by the traveler.
- Traveling in the Tibetan areas of Western Sichuan has many things that you cannot understand or tolerate in a bustling city: in terms of hardware, there are issues with water, electricity, and transportation. Sudden water and power outages often occur, and temporary traffic controls often catch us off guard. Please be mentally prepared. Due to the less than ideal traffic conditions in high-altitude areas, natural disasters such as landslides, mudslides, and rockfalls may occasionally occur, which may cause traffic jams and delays. Therefore, it is recommended that friends from outside the province try to purchase plane tickets or train tickets for departure on the second day.
- Guests are not allowed to leave the group at will. If forced to leave the group, a waiver must be signed. The guest will be responsible for any personal safety or property losses that occur during the period of leaving the group.
