Xiamen Yunshuiyao and Tianluokeng Tulou Day Tour

Was a great day trip to Yunshuiyao and Tulou. The travel agency will email requesting for WeChat ID and thereafter all communications were done via WeChat. The driver and Yunshuiyao guide is the same person and we were assigned to 洪师傅. He came to pick us from our hotel at Zhongshan Pedestrian Street at 7.30am and he was very punctual. Thereafter we went to pick another 2 more groups before heading to Tulou. Actual itinerary: 7.30am - Pick up from hotel 10am - Reached Tulou, a separate guide from the Tulou will meet the group there and explained the history of Tulou. Visited 3 Tulous and the whole walk was about 3km. 12pm - Lunch at a restaurant (meal not included) 1.30pm - Leave for Yunshuiyao 2pm to 4pm - Yunshuiyao tour 4pm - Sending the group back to their accoms 7pm - Reached Xiamen Zhongshan Pedestrain Street Total of 6 pax and a comfortable 9 seater bus was allocated. Pleasant experience and will definitely recommend.

The nine-person bus transfer was very comfortable with excellent air conditioning. It was great that the day tour took us directly to our destination, especially since the drive was a bit long. We got to see the historic Hakka earthen buildings and experience the local culture.

The Fujian Tulou itinerary was packed and highly recommended, offering a very rewarding experience! The guide at Yunshuiyao provided lively and professional explanations, and the service was attentive. However, please note that they will take you to buy tea. While recommending local products is understandable, the prices there are significantly higher than elsewhere. This is the only aspect to be aware of.

Take note if you are joining the 2-8paxs (small group tour) There will not be any guide, only driver will bring you to yunshuiyao.Then a guide from yunshuiyao will bring you inside for the tour of the place. As for Tianloukeng Tulou the driver will drive you to the top to take some photos with no commentary……..

It was a great trip! Remember to bring sunglasses and an umbrella. There were clouds and mist around the mountains, and earthen buildings all over the hills. The driver was very friendly and provided excellent service.

i was extremely lucky to find a very nice group who happily tried to envolve me the only non-chinese speaker. this tour is very long: 12h. the driver was very nice too but as he spoke only Chinese, i missed all his explanations.

Driver Li, vehicle number 8803, provided excellent service with punctual pick-up and drop-off. The itinerary was relaxing with beautiful scenery, making it a memorable trip. I will definitely join this tour again!

1. The itinerary is too rigid. 2. Tourism platforms want to accommodate more guests, and it's reasonable to do so as long as there's enough space in the vehicle. However, forcing different itineraries together, which wastes time, and then expecting the driver to coordinate on the spot, leads to missed attractions. Being forced to join a tour with other people on a different itinerary is very unsatisfactory. The platform should consolidate itineraries before the trip. If a small group can't form a tour, they should either cancel or suggest joining another group's itinerary, rather than having the driver coordinate during pickup. This forces the minority to accommodate the majority, which is very poor practice! 3. Detours for pickups waste time and negatively affect the driver's mood, making the ride very uncomfortable and compromising passenger safety! For a business to be sustainable, I sincerely suggest that the quality of service in mainland China still has a long way to go compared to others!

The itinerary stated we would visit Tianluokeng, but on the day of departure, the tour guide informed us that the road to Tianluokeng had been blocked by a landslide a few days prior, making it inaccessible. However, we had contacted the travel agency multiple times before our trip, and they never informed us of this situation. We do not accept being told about this by the driver only on the day of departure. Ultimately, we filed a complaint with Klook, but Klook did not provide us with a satisfactory response. As this may violate the Trade Descriptions Ordinance, we are considering filing a complaint with Customs and Excise and the Consumer Council.
