I am extremely satisfied with this compact transfer service that allowed me to see the Pink Ganesha in just half a morning. The meeting place at McDonald's is easy to find, though it isn't open in the morning. A Panda Bus representative showed up about five minutes before the scheduled meeting time. Since that staff member was heading off toward Ayutthaya, we ended up with a driver-only transfer. We had plenty of time, even enough to grab some ice cream at the site, and we are completely satisfied.
Participated in the 8:00 AM departure tour. The operator arrived about 10 minutes before the meeting time, and confirmation of participants began. Confirmation was just saying "Hi" when your name was called from the list. Once all participants gathered, we moved to a car a short distance away. The car was a 12-seater minivan. We departed almost on time and arrived at the Pink Ganesha around 9:40 AM. Upon arrival, we were told the departure time for the return. This time it was scheduled for 10:45 AM. About 1 hour was sufficient to see the Pink Ganesha and its surroundings. When we returned to the car, all the other participants were already on board. I think maybe they were hot and just ready to go.
I participated with my child on a Sunday in early August. The meeting point was easy to find, right near Siam Station. A Panda Tour representative in an orange shirt confirmed my name and gave me a paper with the car's license plate number. We walked a short distance to the car. The air conditioning in the car was just right, and we arrived in about an hour with safe driving. Although there were many people around Ganesha, there was no line for the mouse statues. It was quite hot, so an hour-long stay was just right. Ice cream, drinks, and food were sold everywhere, and the children had a lot of fun feeding the carp and cows for 20 baht.
It was really great! Highly recommended. Since the Pink Ganesha is located in a place that's hard to get to on your own, having just the transportation provided was extremely helpful! The meeting spot was easy to find, and one hour of stay time at the site is more than enough. Even if you arrive early at the meeting place, there is a Starbucks nearby! The McDonald's right in front was closed. You need to do some research beforehand on how to make offerings. *Note: The sightseeing location only has Thai written and English isn't spoken either. We had some extra time, so we were able to relax and have coffee at Amazon Cafe. The road is bumpy and feels like an amusement park ride, so wearing a seatbelt is a must! The tourists are exclusively Japanese, which is another reassuring point. Thank you very much!
There are other Pink Ganesha tours available, but since my schedule was tight, I chose this half-day tour. I was a bit worried because it was advertised as an English-speaking driver only, but it turned out there was a Japanese-speaking coordinator, and all the tour participants were Japanese, which put me at ease. This was the only tour I took during my stay, but having a car made things so much easier! Without having to worry about transfers, I was able to enjoy the scenery from the car window and do some research, making it a very productive use of my time. Although it cost a bit, I'm glad I participated. We had plenty of time to explore the destination in just one hour after arriving. Please note that the local restrooms are not flush toilets and do not have toilet paper, so it's best to use the restroom before the tour or bring your own toilet paper.
We had such a lovely experience with our wonderful tour guide! 🥰 Even though she didn’t speak English fluently, she was incredibly kind, helpful, and patient with us. I accidentally booked a Japanese group transfer to the Pink Ganesh Temple, but thankfully, she made the whole experience so easy and enjoyable! 💕
I chose this tour because it's a bit of a hassle to get there on your own, but I didn't want to stop at unnecessary tourist attractions. I was satisfied with the result. The stay was about an hour, which felt just right, almost like it wasn't quite enough. The pick-up and drop-off location was very convenient, making it easy to plan what to do after returning, which was great.
I had no plans the next day, so I quickly made a reservation for the morning and was able to ride a large bus to see it. It was vast, so the time felt a little short, but it was worth seeing. There was a restaurant at the place where the bus returned, and I was satisfied after ordering the local specialty, Kop Khun Kha curry. After that, I took the subway to the market in Mochit and had a satisfying day of shopping.
The guide spoke Japanese and explained how to pray during the transit, which helped me relax and enjoy the trip. It was also great that they made sure to include proper restroom breaks. Perhaps due to traffic congestion, the tour ended about 30 minutes late, which caused a slight inconvenience for my subsequent plans, but that was really the only thing that bothered me.
Japanese is understood, and the air conditioning in the car wasn't too strong, making it comfortable! The 40-minute stay was plenty of time!
