Luhuitou Scenic Area

Luhuitou Scenic Area is located on the Luhuitou Peninsula at the southwestern tip of Sanya City, surrounded by the sea on three sides and adjacent to Sanya city on one side, making it a national 4A-level tourist attraction. There are five mountains of varying sizes within the scenic area, with the highest peak reaching 181 meters above sea level. Thanks to its unique geographical location, it has become an excellent destination for climbing high to gaze at the sea, watching sunrises and sunsets, and overlooking the panoramic view of Sanya City. Standing on the observation deck at the mountain's summit and looking into the distance, the magnificent panorama of mountains, sea, city, and rivers unfolds before your eyes, and the romantic coastal charm is fully revealed.

This place not only boasts stunning natural scenery but also holds a moving romantic legend. According to legend, a young Li hunter once chased a sika deer to the shores of the South China Sea. When the deer had nowhere to go and turned its head, it transformed into a beautiful Li maiden amidst fire and smoke. The two then fell in love and became husband and wife. The mountain was thus named "Luhuitou" (Deer Turning Head), and Sanya is therefore known as "Deer City." Today, a symbolic "Luhuitou" sculpture stands on the mountaintop, and the scenic area is also dotted with attractions such as cliff carvings of the character "love," love locks, and husband-and-wife trees, making it a renowned "Mountain of Love in the South China Sea" and a romantic spot for couples to pledge their eternal love.

In addition to the breathtaking sea and sky views during the day, the night scenery of Luhuitou Scenic Area is equally captivating. As night falls, the city below is illuminated by countless twinkling lights, with the neon glow of Sanya Bay reflecting on the shimmering sea. On the mountain, dazzling artistic night lights and laser animation shows light up, transforming the night sky into a dreamlike spectacle.
