Similan Islands Speedboat Snorkeling Tour from Phuket

We really lucked out with the weather and were able to see the Similan Islands in all their glory. Saw some of the clearest, most beautiful water I’ve ever seen in my life. Special shoutout to our guide Nancy who was super super entertaining, and all the assistant guides (Pony, Luca) and the crew for their hardwork. My only complaint is that I wish I’d had more time at Similan Island No. 8, but because this is a tour with pickup from Phuket (which is about 2 hours away from the pier) I understand why there is limited time for each attraction. Still, I would say that the tour can skip the breakfast/dinner portion (or pack sandwiches to eat on the boat) so that more time can be spent at the attractions. Overall a well-organised, professional tour.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely fantastic Similan Islands excursion! The trip to the Similan Islands was simply fantastic! This was our second time there, and we were completely thrilled again. We traveled as a family with our son, and everything was perfectly organized. The islands and beaches are simply stunningly beautiful – like paradise. The diving and snorkeling, in particular, were incredible: crystal-clear water, beautiful corals, and many colorful fish. An unforgettable experience that we would do again anytime. Highly recommended! 🌴🐠🌊

The pickup car was punctual and the driver drove very comfortably. Upon arrival at Fantastic, the meeting point was a huge venue, and although there were many people, it didn't feel crowded. The breakfast buffet was simple and delicious; remember not to eat too much, as you'll be on a boat for 1 hour and 15 minutes shortly. I recommend wearing your swimsuit underneath your clothes from the start so you don't have to squeeze into crowded restrooms to change later. I suggest wearing shorts or capris, because the first stop is a beach, and if you wear long pants, the hems will immediately get wet. Our guide, Nina, was amazing, energetic, humorous, and very funny, making everyone laugh from the morning. The seawater was very clear, and we saw Nemo; we also saw sea turtles on Payu Island. The only tiring part was the 3-hour journey to Similan, so be prepared for that. The boat ride wasn't comfortable; the seat spacing was very small and cramped, and the seats were high. If you're around 165cm (5'5") or shorter, your feet won't touch the ground, making it very difficult to sit. Remember to apply sunscreen frequently, or you'll get sunburned.

Pick-up from my hotel at Karon at 0515hrs in a comfortable mini-van. No stops for toilet break (2hr 50min ride including pick-up to other hotels). Upon arrival, seasick pills given. Breakfast provided and given 15min to eat. You can borrow towel with THB300 deposit, rent snorkeling fins at THB200 + THB100 deposit, purchase waterproof phone pouches, water shoes. After a 1hr 30min boat ride we landed at Island 8. We reached early and had a good time to take photographs. Guides helped to take photographs using your phone and their cameras for free. Thereafter we went near Island 9 for snorkeling. Guides will assist with float boards for non-swimmers. We were supposed to go Island 7 next for snorkeling but we skipped it as the currents were strong. Instead, we snorkelled near Island 4 before going to shore for sumptuous lunch (chicken, fish, vegetables, choice of tom yum goong/non-spicy/vegetarian) with plenty of time for lunch + wash up + stroll the beach Another 1.5hr boat ride later we were back to the starting pier. QR code provided to download the photographs for free. Returned towel and fins with deposit refunded too. Dinner was served and shortly after we boarded our vans back to our hotel. Drinks (water and cola) and a small cookie were provided during the boat ride.

Lovely experience plenty of snorkelling time and swimming time! You do have to pay a deposit for the snorkelling gear but you get that back at the end! Breakfast and dinner are offered at the companies main site nothing fancy but ok! Lunch is offered at a restaurant on one of the Islands which was good! If you don’t like Seafood would recommend going for the Vegetarian option. Would recommend water shoes as your shoes get taken off you an upon entering the boat and you get them back at the end of the trip!

One of the best crew in Phuket, Thailand. I won’t forget the experience for the lifetime. Staff is so cool, detailed explanations for the activities and also everyone is ready to help you. Very beautiful crew that provides amazing islands tour. So happy to choose this in my travel itinerary. A big thumbs up.

The transfer is tough! Got picked up at Got picked up at 5:40am from Kata area and had 2h transfer to the marina followed by 80ish minutes by speed boat. Once you get there everything is worth it! the water and islands are stunning. It has the clearest waters I have ever seen with an absolutely stunning marine life, fish in the colours of the rainbows we even saw a sea turtle!! If you do not like sea food you will struggle at lunch although I think there was a vegetarian option. If you do like sea food you will eat the freshest sea food which is delicious. Bring sea shoes (the boat doesn’t allow shoes on board apart from sea shoes and climbing to the viewpoint is difficult in flip flops and borderline dangerous if you slip), a waterproof phone case if you want to capture the marine life, a spare set of dry clothes (I did not but I wish I did as I really wanted to change my swimsuit once we arrived back) and towels (although you can borrow them for 300Bht deposit which you get back). The only downside I have is the mini van transport, if you’re last to get picked up you will likely get the worst seats in the mini van which aren’t the most comfortable and the boat seats itself are not very comfortable either.

great experience. picked us up on time, had to pay 500 baht each separately to get into the national park. the boat was long but they gave us plenty of drinks and a snack on board. breakfast was cornflakes, toast and sausages with coffee and tea. lunch was nice but it was predominantly seafood. they do come around with a bowl of cold fried chicken and vegetables if you want. you had plenty of time to climb the rock and snorkel. we saw two turtles which was amazing and lots of fish. make sure you lather sunscreen every 2 hours as we got severely burnt. they gave us a snack on board and more drinks which was nice and refreshing. dinner was spaghetti and salad. staff were so friendly!

This Similan tour is by far the best I have had in Thailand. Everything was impressive. On time van service, meals, service and attentiveness of staff and crew, it was well organized by Blu Seasons Marine. Similan Island is indeed the KING of all Islands in Thailand! stunning view and environment overall. loved this tour. Highly recommended, book this through this provided Klook and Blu Seasons as this is by far the cheapest that I saw.
