Okinawa: Miyako Island Sea Turtle and Coral Reef Snorkeling Experience

If you are visiting Miyakojima, this tour is a must! The day before our tour there was a tsunami warning, but the organizers went out of their way to reschedule it and make it happen once the warning was lifted. Our guide Taku was amazing, he did his best to accomodate our young kids when they got tired and help them go on so we could find the sea turtle. We also saw many colorful fish along the way and found Nemo! Taku was in great control of the group and made the whole experience feel very safe. It was so interesting and unforgettable, we are more than happy to have done it. He also made great photos and videos for us. Thanks Taku and we wish you all the best!

A family of three, including a 7-year-old child, booked the tour. We traveled independently to the meeting point, and our guide, Ten, called us around our arrival time to provide directions, making it easy to find. This tour included a child who wasn't a strong swimmer, and we were quite worried because a storm hit on the day of the tour, causing strong waves. However, Ten explained everything in detail, from putting on the equipment to safety rules, using English and some basic Korean, which put us completely at ease. We saw three turtles at the turtle spot and took photos. Despite the storm and waves, Ten took excellent photos from great angles. We couldn't go to the Nemo spot because our child felt seasick and wanted to leave. Instead, Ten shared beautiful photos with us! Ten led us to the exit point, ensuring our safe return. We were grateful for the kind guidance, even though we had to travel a somewhat long distance back and forth due to another group joining us. After the tour, it was great to receive the photos immediately via AirDrop. The after-service was perfect, as Ten even sent recommendations for restaurants and tourist spots via KakaoTalk. Although the weather was disappointing, it was a tour that created unforgettable memories! I highly recommend it. A special thank you again to Ten for all the hard work!

If you're visiting Miyakojima, I highly recommend this tour! Before we got in the water, Ten meticulously explained all the important safety precautions for snorkeling. During the snorkeling, he also shared interesting facts about the marine life, taking us to spots where we saw sea turtles, Nemo (clownfish), coral, and a wide variety of colorful fish. He even took many beautiful photos of us at each stunning location underwater, creating wonderful memories for everyone. Highly recommend!

It was an absolutely wonderful experience! Our guide, Mashi, enthusiastically took amazing photos and took us to sea turtle spots, Nemo spots, coral and fish swarm spots, and more, which was fantastic 👍 Especially seeing one turtle as soon as we got in and then seeing three at once at the end 😍 I highly recommend it! Haha. He could communicate in English and spoke a little Korean, so it was easy to enjoy. He checked on our condition frequently, so you can enjoy it even if you don't know Japanese! After the experience, he immediately AirDropped the photos, which was great. He took continuous photos, so there were a lot of good ones to choose from haha. I was worried about being cold, but it wasn't cold at all, it was perfect. I think I'll come back to Miyakojima for snorkeling! It's worth it just for this.

This tour is absolutely amazing and highly recommended! My partner and I participated, and despite both of us being a little unsure about our swimming abilities, we had an incredible time. The reason we enjoyed it so much was because the instructors were not only very friendly but also very attentive to our physical condition and safety. They were also strongly committed to ensuring we had a good time, and they took many great photos and videos that we'll cherish as lasting memories. Even if you're not a strong swimmer, they'll happily pull you along on a floating ring, making it perfect for families with children. I believe that with this tour, both parents and children can relax and enjoy themselves together. As for the snorkeling itself, we were lucky enough to encounter sea turtles! They also took great care in taking pictures of them, which we were very happy with. When I come back to Miyako Island, I'll definitely book this tour again to relive the experience.

Koreans, this is the place! I visited Miyakojima again, two years after my last trip! On my first visit, I used P#D#, which had a Korean-speaking guide. But it's become so popular with Koreans that I missed out on a reservation and was so sad! Luckily, this was a great choice among the few companies that offer pickup for those without a car! Instructor Ten can communicate in English and Korean! Honestly, for snorkeling abroad, I think it's more important to observe the 'beginner's condition' than fluent language skills, and Instructor Ten was incredibly attentive. He kept asking in Korean if I was okay and checked on my condition, so I felt completely at ease in the water! Perhaps because the weather was good, I saw turtles so close I could almost touch them! Lucky me! 🥰 I really can't swim at all 😂, but the instructor carries a tube for beginners, so even if you just hold onto the tube, you can see turtles, take photos, and do everything! The photos also turned out much better than other companies! 🤩 They showed us various spots – where the turtles are, where there are lots of fish, and where Nemo lives – and gave us short breaks, so snorkeling wasn't tiring at all! I was traveling alone as a woman (and I can't swim 🤣), so I'm incredibly grateful for all the attention during snorkeling! Koreans, come with peace of mind~!!

Thank you to Ten for an amazing experience! Ten was our guide and he was very patient and kind to my young niece who was snorkelling for the first time. He made sure she was comfortable and able to breathe properly before we proceeded and she absolutely loved it despite her initial fear. We managed to see sea turtles and fish including clownfish which Ten was pointing out and taking time to give us some info about the coral etc. We also got A LOAD of photos taken by Ten which we love :) highly highly recommend this tour if you're ever on Miyako Island, it was very organised (we were picked up from our hotel), fun and a highlight of our trip.

Ten is absolutely amazing! To all my fellow Koreans, you must book with them! Snorkeling was the most fun and memorable part of my trip. We saw so much, and I was lucky enough to see sea turtles, Nemo, and so many different kinds of fish. I'm 200% satisfied! I had a great time with our kind guide; they had a wonderful personality and made the atmosphere so comfortable. I was a bit worried, but I'm leaving completely satisfied. Also, after the tour, Ten gave us incredibly detailed recommendations for great restaurants and izakayas in Miyakojima, which was fantastic. I'll definitely come back again! ♡
