Reviews
1 day experience with this tour is quite ok, take the train and eat lots of fresh seafood. If people want to order more food, it only costs about $ 30 to be able to order a crab for 2 people who eat very good and reasonable price.
The driver's English was good, but I felt like I didn't have enough time to play and always wanted to get off work quickly. This is a relatively new attraction, but tour groups come to visit it. (We were picked up at 9:45 and sent back to the pick-up point at 3:45)
In the morning, we went to Pulau Ketam to explore the island style. The beach was very comfortable and there were many crabs on the island. In the afternoon, we arrived at the Blue Mosque. The building is very majestic and really beautiful!
Very good experience for my first time visit. My kid enjoyed the boat ride to the island. The tour guide is very friendly.
The driver is cool, and it may be difficult to communicate in language, but the driver is always waiting for us, giving us silent and considerate service, and we are free to do whatever we want during the whole journey!
It was a beautiful day. Our guide, Steven Benedict, accompanied us with great professionalism, helpfulness, and kindness. He pointed out many points of interest along the way, telling us about Malaysia, its history, culture, and current events. He was very accommodating, waiting for us while we visited various places, and proved to be a very knowledgeable person, so we took the opportunity to ask him many questions, which he always answered promptly. Once we arrived at the island, he gave us both independent time and guided us, staying by our side. It was a very interesting overall experience; there aren't any spectacular sights, but the overall view is truly picturesque, and you can feel the life of a real fishing island. The seafood lunch truly surprised us: it was delicious! Highly recommended as an experience for anyone looking for a relaxing day and a truly pleasant cultural experience.
For less than NT$1,500, you can pick up and drop off in the city + take a boat to island hopping. You can also hire a taxi to go to these scenic spots, but there is a driver and tour guide to guide you along the way, which is much easier and more comfortable than taking a taxi yourself. We went to three places in total: Thean Hou Temple, the Blue Mosque, the largest in Malaysia, and Kedah Island. Mr. Kassim, the tour guide and driver, is very nice. He explained the whole journey responsibly, arranged the transportation route, and controlled the time of each attraction very well. However, the island of Kedah, which is the main attraction in the itinerary, feels like a remote fishing village, with no special highlights worth visiting or leaving a deep impression. Although many crabs and residents make a living by fishing, these features were not seen during the tour. One meal included in the itinerary was at Kim Ho Tea House on Kedah Island. The meal only consisted of fried rice and fried vegetables. We added some fried crabs and steamed pomfret. After finishing the checkout, I was really shocked!! ! Crab costs RM130 and steamed pomfret costs RM65. Although the current price of the seafood was listed on the menu, the checkout amount was unexpectedly high, and I felt very bad about being slaughtered like a fat sheep. Overall, this trip was not as exciting as expected.
I sent my parents on a day tour and they said it was fun ^^
This activity is quite good. You can choose the attractions you want to participate in, and it is relatively cheap. However, one disadvantage is that you have to choose the date in advance, which will cause some trouble for me. The tour guide is serious and responsible, but a little off-line. I don’t know if I’m keeping up or not, I just keep moving forward.
Tour guide: Polite, clear explanations, well-organized arrangements, clean vehicle
