Good to know
Dress in Layers: Although thermal suits are provided, wear multiple layers underneath, including thermal underwear, a fleece or wool sweater, and insulated pants. Thick socks, gloves, a hat, and a scarf are essential for staying warm in Arctic temperatures. Waterproof Footwear: Since boots are not provided, bring sturdy, waterproof, and insulated boots to keep your feet warm and dry in snowy or icy conditions.- Passport: If the tour crosses into Finland, you’ll need your passport at the border. Double-check that it’s valid and with you before departure. Camera & Tripod: To capture the Northern Lights, bring a DSLR or mirrorless camera with a tripod. Set the camera to a low ISO, wide aperture, and long exposure for the best results. Power Banks: Cold weather drains batteries quickly, so bring extra power banks for your phone and camera. Stay Flexible: Weather in the Arctic can be unpredictable. Trust your guide’s decisions to move to different locations, even if it means driving longer distances. Patience is Key: The Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon and can’t be guaranteed. Be patient, as sightings might occur late at night or after long waits. Stay Warm: Take advantage of the campfire breaks and warm drinks to stay comfortable and enjoy the experience fully.
