Review for: Shinjuku Expressway Bus Terminal · Nagoya station

It was a good experience. We slept comfortably on the buses, and there were charging ports, so you do not have to worry about that. They also turned off the lights during the travel, so you can have a good night's rest. The bus was very quick to reach the destination, but before going to Nagoya, I would suggest you check the weather because it might be a bit colder there. Overall, I recommend this experience to those going from Tokyo to Nagoya.

Review for: Nagoya station · Shinjuku Expressway Bus Terminal

It was easy to go to Shinjuku Station, making it very convenient. Although we had to wait a little longer and there weren't many seats available, you can be sure that the bus departs on time. Therefore, you need to arrive in advance; I would recommend being there about 30 minutes before departure. They reserve the seats for you, so you must show them your QR code, and they will direct you to your seat. This option is very convenient and very cheap compared to riding a Shinkansen.

It was my first time using the service, so I wasn't sure what to expect, but when I arrived at the designated time and place, there were surprisingly many people waiting. I was worried about the long distance, but I didn't feel tired and slept well. I had a long schedule from the morning. If I need to save time again, I would definitely use this service again.

Much better than I expected! The bus is quiet, comfortable, and spacious, allowing us to rest almost uninterrupted throughout the entire journey. Each seat has an outlet to charge your devices overnight, and the lights are turned off during the trip. Finding the station can be a little tricky if you're not familiar with the area, but if you ask around and use Google Maps, you'll surely get there.

Review for: Nagoya station · Akihabara station

The ride was fine, but since it's a temporary platform right now, there wasn't clear guidance or platform information available. Still, thanks to the kind staff, I was able to board without issues.

The instructions were very clear where to find it, and the bus stations platforms are very visible. As usual, Japan buses and trains leave on time so be there 15 mins earlier before! They will check against your name and tell you your seat number, and check on what's your final stop if your bus goes to more than one stop. I was lucky to be solo and no one next to me since the bus wasn't full. I saw a lot Japanese being polite to ask if they can put their seats down before we start the bus ride... The bus was quiet and peaceful, the curtains were blacked out for the sleep. Arrived on time as well! Then it was 5 mins short walk to the Nagoya station.

I definitely recommend this if it’s more affordable, it was dark and comfy enough to sleep. The seats recline a little as well, was able to sleep on the window seat so using that to lean on with a neck pillow was perfect. The seat is assigned automatically, the driver gives you that info upon checking in

price: super cheap compare to shinkansen pass area coverage: dropped off at Sakae which is just a few minutes to my hotel transport included: arigatou so much to the driver i had 2 luggages: 1 medium and 1 cabin luggage, no questions asked. redemption guide: the terminal is just outside of Akihabara station, near 7eleven/mcdo. There’s a lot of bus flyers sticked to the terminal so you’ll know where you’ll ride the bus
