What to expect
Calligraphy has a delicate sense of beauty, and the subtle changes in fine lines, dots, and shading enhance its beauty. There is also a sense of quiet beauty, and it is important to keep one's mind quiet and focused when writing letters
Even beginners can learn how to use the brush by practicing repeatedly. It is important to note, however, that it is important to understand the techniques used, rather than just practicing in the dark
【Special】 The teacher has applied kanji to the foreign name of a client and come up with a Japanese-style name written in kanji. Since each kanji character has its own meaning, you should know what meaning the character used in your name has

this was an absolutely incredible experience, everyone was so kind and patient! i came away so so many cute, unique souvenirs, and photos to remember the experience.
oh what a way to start our holiday. This was a wonderful experience, the staff were lovely short walk from the station and close to Osaka Castle. Highly recommend doing this.
we came in a group of 5, staffs are very generous and friendly, they will try their best to communicate with us for most times. The caligraphy class was fun but might become less focusing in a large group setting. kimono choices were not that many, and the location-wise is quite misleading. Not photogenic places nearby
It was one of the most beautiful experiences, with a lot of peace and interesting facts about the language! Very warmly presented and highly recommended!
The calligraphy lesson has been one key highlight of our trip. Our teacher madam took so much time to patiently teach us Kanji style calligraphy. She gave us gifts and all of them customized. She took multiple photographs and we are truly happy and grateful we experienced this. IT IS MUST FOR ANYBODY coming to Osaka!
I booked ot last minute and they were very accommodative to adjust me into the group.Really a lovely experience to learn about Japanese calligraphy technique and its history. The instructor was very helpful.Really lived getting ready in a kimono before the session.Highly recommend.
we had such a lovely time here and felt very relaxed. we were not rushed and had plenty of time to practice our caligraphy before attempting to write on a fan. we were very pleased with our experience and would highly recommend.
This was a fun and unique activity! Hosts were very friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. They were prepared for each student with our names pre-written out. The bulk of the time would be spent practicing how to write kanji names, as well as a kanji character of choice (you pick from a sampling). Upon arrival, you put on a kimono to aid in the immersion experience. After a brief explanation of Japanese calligraphy and the writing tools, you are given directions how to write your kanji chaacter of choice and plenty of time (and paper) to practice. Then you practice your kanji name. When you're good and ready, you write your name and kanji character on framable cardstock or a fan as your one-of-a- kind take-home souvenir. You also get a personalized bag to put everything in, including all your practice pages if desired. Throughout the class, someone is taking photos that will get emailed to you. I've yet to recieve mine but look forward to it. A really nice touch! Throughout the
This was a super fun experience! The staff went above and beyond. They gave us plenty of time to practice both our name and a kanji that we chose, and also took many photos. I was also very impressed at the dedication to making sure that everyone enjoyed the experience and walked away having learned something. The staff spoke many languages to convey information.
Amazing experience! Our instructor was so wonderful and warm. My daughter (9yr old) loved it, and they sent us beautiful photos afterwards. A+
