Reviews
A day tour is a very convenient option, with special bus transfers, allowing you to reach different attractions within a day. There are many tourists in Shirakawa-go Gassho Village. Although it is not crowded, the sense of tranquility is reduced a lot. It is a great experience to walk around and have a look. The second attraction is Gokayama Gassho Village, which has only 13 Gassho-style houses. The lights at night make it look like a mini version of Shirakawa-go Gassho Village. Those who cannot attend Shirakawa-go can feel a similar atmosphere here. It's really beautiful when lit up!
The travel is long, but the view is nice. The guide can speak English, Chinese and Japanese. The food is good.
One-day tours are very convenient, saving travel time and reaching more distant attractions. The famous Shirakawa-go Gassho Village and the mini version of Gokayama Gassho-zukuri are both places worth visiting. Especially after dark, the lights of Gokayama Gassho Village are turned on, and as night falls, it is really beautiful!
