Reviews summaryDongdaemun Sparex is the best! It's affordable, clean, spacious, and comfortable. The location is also incredibly easy to find. Dongdaemun Design Plaza is right across the street. You can easily find it by taking the elevator down to the third basement floor of the building. They don't provide shampoo, conditioner, body wash, or scrubbing towels, so it's a good idea to bring your own. If you forget, they sell them at the entrance, which is convenient. For women, mugwort steaming is highly recommended! It costs 2,000 yen. It feels incredibly good and makes you sweat a lot. After that, getting a body scrub is the best! On the fourth basement floor, there's also a food court, a jjimjilbang (Korean sauna), and a relaxation area where you can unwind. Going in the morning is recommended as it's less crowded.
The location is convenient, in B3 of the building. First, scan the QR code on the machine to exchange for a paper ticket. The counter will give you a key and a set of clothes. Put your shoes in the shoe cabinet first. Go into the locker room, take off all your clothes, and then you can go to shower. After that, use the spa facilities (various pools, steam rooms, saunas). This time, I spent an extra KRW25,000 (about NT$560) to experience the Korean body scrub. The 'ajusshi' (uncle) worked very hard, and it felt like a layer of skin was scrubbed off! After the spa, you can put on your clothes and go to B4 to rest, or go to the dining area to drink beverages and eat something. Then, find a place to relax (sleep, use your phone, watch TV...). Scan the QR in klook voucher at the entrance machine (next to the aquarium) and show the slip to the receptionist. Put your shoes in the box + enter the bathing section. Bring your own toiletries or you may purchase on site (4000won). Staff will brief you what to do inside the bathing section and the scrub expert will look for you once they see you washed and cleaned up. Just observe and follow the crowd.
Value for money, incl lockers and a set of clothings to change to, when using the facilities. Spacious resting areas & many rooms to choose and move about. Delicious food too with reasonable price. Mainly to improve on the counter services to be more understanding and patient, when attending to tourists/beginners. Don't just simply say 'follow what others do', instead of explaining! Suggest to have some signages/notices in Eng & Mandarin at the lockers (as lockers provided are separated for shoes & clothings).
I finally got to experience a Spa and my kdrama life. Besides that it’s a very calm and relaxing place and I loved going between the hot and cold rooms. If I had more time I would have stayed longer and tried to have a nap in the sleeping room and had a good old scrub and massage. That’s definitely for next time as I will definitely go back. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. The food is also delicious and a very reasonable price. I had the eggs I see on the TV. I also was shown how to roll the towel for my head.
easy to exchange voucher. there were a lot of koreans aside from foreigners so experiencr still feel authentic. i was only able to spend less than 2 hrs but was able to relax and enjoy. there is foodcourt and food is good(accepts cash and credit cards)! there is payment to use the hair blowdry 200won for 8mins use. also bring your own toiletries!
Located at Exit 8 of Dongdaemun, walk straight for about 8 minutes in the B3 of an old building. It is my first time to experience a sauna in Korea. It feels so good after the experience. You can go to the sauna at any time, and then everyone can lie on the floor. After lying down, some blocks are colder, and some are self-heating. No matter which one it is, I think it is great. If you forget to bring some bath products, you can buy them inside (the aunties can speak some Chinese). Finally, the instant noodles cooked by the aunt are especially delicious, but it is more expensive, a bowl costs 5000 won! (Everything you buy inside is more expensive than outside~) Overall, the CP value is very high, but it is not recommended for those who have trouble falling asleep or are prone to backaches!
loved this activity!! we had access to all amenities in the sauna and we just had to show our QR code. easy booking through klook. ill def recommend to fam & friends ❤️
It was a fun first experience exploring rooms at different temperatures, from hot to cold. The clear directions made it easy to navigate, even for a first-timer.
What I love about Klook is that they are very easy to use. Just book for whatever u wanna do and just pay for it and just be present. Everything will just turn out good.
