London Transport Museum Ticket

I recently visited the London Transport Museum, and it was a fantastic experience that exceeded my expectations. Located in the heart of Covent Garden, this museum offers a deep dive into the history of London’s iconic transport system. The collection is impressive, featuring everything from vintage buses and trams to early tube carriages. One of the highlights for me was the beautifully restored Victorian steam engine, which gives a real sense of how far transportation has come. The exhibits are well-organized, taking you through the development of transport in London from the 19th century to the present day. What sets this museum apart is its interactive elements. There are plenty of hands-on activities for all ages, making it a great destination for families. I particularly enjoyed the simulator that allows you to “drive” a tube train—it’s much harder than it looks! The museum also provides a lot of interesting information about the social impact of transport on London’s growth and how it has shaped the city’s layout. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly, always ready to answer questions and provide additional insights. The gift shop is well-stocked with unique London-themed items, and the café offers a nice selection of snacks and drinks to refresh after your visit. Overall, the London Transport Museum is a must-visit for anyone interested in the history of London or transport in general. It’s educational, engaging, and suitable for visitors of all ages. Whether you’re a local or a tourist, you’ll find something to enjoy here.

I've been longing to return here since my first visit to London in 2012. Back then, all I could afford was a keychain from the gift shop. This time, I finally got to explore the museum! I learned so much, especially about the evolution of London's public transport since the 1800s. It was amazing and I highly recommend it.

It was a great experience and a very detailed introduction to the history of London transportation. As someone who lives along the northern line, I was very happy to see the old northern line trains. The Windrush Generation exhibition board made me understand why black people were concentrated in certain areas of London. It turned out to be related to working in the bus depot. In addition, the photos of the Ukrainian subway are also worth seeing. Just like the bombing of London, civilians had to take refuge in the subway station. It was a bit emotional to see it.

The exhibition hall is small, but it effectively showcases the development of London's transportation, which is quite good. The shop also offers a wide variety of items at reasonable prices, highly recommended.

I didn't expect it to be small inside, but it's definitely worth seeing and has a lot to offer. Admission is free for those under 17, and there are plenty of activities for young children. Older children will also find a lot to explore, and adults can enjoy a wealth of information. You can easily spend an hour and a half inside. Outside is Covent Garden, with lots to see and eat, making it a great spot to visit together.

This is a great place for kids! Not only are there tons of train and bus models, but there's also a playhouse for children. Both adults and kids will have a blast, and you'll learn a lot of history too. Highly recommended!

Well worth seeing the ancient British modes of transport, which are very well preserved. If you have children, the children's area is a great place for them to play!

Felt like they could've had a different museum for each type of transportation as it wasn't as well organised as I had hoped. But definitely good for kids. The souvenir shop had quite cool but pricey stuff.
