- In the morning, depart from Dali city center and first head to Erhai Lake to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the lake and mountains, and experience the romantic atmosphere of Dali. Afterwards, proceed to Shuanglang Ancient Town, stroll along the Erhai Lake, and savor the tranquility and simplicity of this Bai ethnic fishing village ancient town.
- Next, visit Xizhou Ancient Town to admire the traditional architecture, clothing, and handicrafts of the Bai ethnic group, gaining a deeper understanding of Bai culture. For lunch, visitors can enjoy local delicacies in the ancient town at their own expense.
- In the afternoon, visit Xiaoputuo, a small island in Erhai Lake, rumored to be the seal left by Guanyin Bodhisattva to guard the sea. It boasts beautiful scenery and is well worth a visit.

The itinerary was flawless — no rushing at all. My English speaking tour guide took the time to explain Dali’s history and patiently answered all my questions. My favorite parts were visiting the local morning market, exploring the variety of fresh fruits and seafood from different communities, and the tie-dye experience with the local grandma.
