Sendai Three Scenic Views: Matsushima Bay Sightseeing Experience

A beautiful cruise with commentary in both Japanese and English. This round trip cruise was very picturesque and well worth doing.

Take a boat trip to Songdo Island, where over two hundred small islands float on the emerald sea. The sea breeze carries the scent of fresh oysters, offering a uniquely Northeastern healing seascape.

The ticket collection office is at the boarding area, so be careful not to go to other places and see the ticket collection window to collect it! The ticketing staff will still ask you to go straight to the right. Don’t be too tight on the time to collect your tickets, because the boat leaves on the hour and you will be late to board the boat! After boarding the boat, take indoor photos of the bay view outside. You can roughly see the corresponding island by comparing it with the introduction.

The staff at the ticket office were very friendly, the ticket exchange procedure was smooth, the sightseeing boat was new, spacious and comfortable, and although the wind was strong, the boat was still very stable, and the boat trip experience was very good.

A relaxing boat cruise where you get to see one of the most acclaimed sights of Japan. The numerous tiny islands dotting the landscape makes for gorgeous photo opportunities which you will have ample time to do so. Recommended to book in advance as the popular time slots can be snapped up quickly

A must do when visiting Matsushima bay! You collect the tickets from the Resthouse near the pier and select a session. Today's route was a loop around the islands starting and ending in Matsushima with commentary provided in several languages. Views were fantastic even in the overcast. Staff were friendly. Great way to see the beauty of Matsushima Bay!

This was my last visit to one of the Three Views of Japan. I recently went to Ha Long Bay, and the atmosphere was a bit similar; I really felt the appeal of Japanese tourist destinations. I'd like to visit again, but be careful because the trains get crowded during consecutive holidays and national holidays! You should definitely take the boat tour! I recommend making reservations, especially during consecutive holidays!

A very special experience, especially since there weren't many people on the boat we took. The indoor seating on the second floor was comfortable, and watching the scenery outside was relaxing and pleasant!

I purchased a temporary ticket two days before boarding the ship. It takes about 40-50 minutes to drive from downtown Sendai. There are 4-5 boat operators on site to provide services, which makes it feel like a summer vacation.

It's really convenient. Just show the code at the pier to quickly redeem your ferry ticket. Someone will direct us to which line to queue in to board the boat. The weather was beautiful that day, and all the photos turned out great.
