Great 4.0
The museum's environment is beautiful and comfortable. The admission fee might be a bit high, which could explain why there aren't many visitors. For those who appreciate tranquility and wish to quietly admire the artworks and enjoy the surroundings, this place is definitely worth recommending. On the day we visited, the museum's front desk staff informed us of a special discount, which was even better than what was offered on the Klook platform. However, when we tried to cancel our original booking, we found that it required manual processing and a wait of several hours. If you need to cancel on the day of admission, the promise of free cancellation when booking is practically impossible to achieve, which was quite disappointing.

Fair 2.0
Two adults and two children does NOT mean four tickets! Two adults and two children does NOT mean four tickets! Two adults and two children does NOT mean four tickets! Important things must be said three times!!! Two adults and two children means two adult tickets, and the two children refer to those under 1.2 meters who don't need to pay. So this is very misleading, why not just say two adult tickets??
Guide
- He Art Museum (HEM), located in Shunde, Guangdong, is a non-profit private art museum established by a family and designed by Tadao Ando.
- He Art Museum was designed by architect Tadao Ando, with a total area of approximately 16,000 square meters, including an exhibition area of about 8,000 square meters. By using fair-faced concrete as the building material, Mr. Ando integrated natural elements such as light, water, and wind into this museum, which embodies the artistic conception of Lingnan architectural culture.
- The architectural design of He Art Museum integrates opposing characteristics, forming an architectural shape composed of simple circles and squares. As the central circle, its center of gravity and scale shift with height, creating a gradually diffusing effect from inside to outside, from the building to the city. This is a continuation of the ancient Central Plains architectural concept of "heaven is round and earth is square," and also creates a landscape that celebrates light and shadow, featuring Lingnan architectural cultural characteristics through the interweaving of symbolic pure geometric solids.
