Tokyo Grand Sumo Tournament Viewing (September, 2026)

We love Sumo and have taken several of these tours, learning something new every time. The walking tour is limited to the area around the arena which is fine because we are eager to enter the venue and watch the bouts. The guides have all been friendly, professional, and informative. The seats tend to be high up on the second floor but the venue is small so the view is good no matter where the seat is located.

Sumo wrestling matches are extremely, extremely exciting! You can feel the sparks fly the moment the wrestlers collide much more than watching it on TV. Plus, if you go to the venue, you might run into wrestlers walking down the street～ It's really thrilling!

Chiharu was very friendly and knowledgeable. The walking pistons through ryogoku gave us many chances to see rikshi out and about. We had a good view of the action from our seats and also were happy to see Aonishki take sole lead near the end. Over all a highlight of our trip.

Beautiful tournament. I didn't believe to see amazing matches. I saw the man with my ticket with difficulty and nobody did tell me where to find him. The reference point was sumo statue near the exit station.

What a great event to attend, loved all the ceremony around it. Couldn't get tickets through official site so but buying via klook was easy

Was an absolute highlight of my trip to Japan. Was greatful to have the full 4 person box to ourselves as it would be a tight squeeze with 4 adult humans. The sumo was incredible though.
