Went with my husband and we had a great time at the show! It was fun to learn some history of sumo wrestling along with the rules and techniques used. The wrestlers were very charismatic and fun to watch, and it was great to cheer for our favorites and then watch audience members challenge them. Overall a great experience in Osaka!

We absolutely loved the Sumo Hall Show and enjoyed every single moment from start to finish! The experience was incredibly entertaining, well organised, and exceeded our expectations. A lovely surprise was receiving a complimentary goodie bag and drink upon arrival, which was a great touch and made us feel very welcome. We also appreciated being able to order food during the show, making the whole experience even more enjoyable and comfortable. The sumo wrestlers were fantastic and showcased their skills in a fun, engaging, and interactive way. The host was equally amazing, bringing so much energy, humour, and enthusiasm to the show. Together, they created an unforgettable atmosphere that kept us entertained throughout. Whether you’re a sumo fan or simply looking for a unique cultural experience in Japan, I highly recommend the Sumo Hall Show. It was one of the highlights of our trip and is definitely worth experiencing!

You definitely need to book this! The sumo’s performed and demonstrated the history of sumo. They then held matches and it was amazing to watch. the funniest part is when the audience members challenged the sumo’s.

Amazing show, it was fun and interactive! We were laughing and learning at the same time the history of Sumo. Dinnet was great and the merchandise sold was awesome! We left with a bag full of merchandise.

The location (Namba Parks) is convenient as it is close to Nankai Namba Station. It also happens to be close to where I am currently staying during my Osaka trip. Overall, it is an enjoyable way to learn a piece of Japanese culture. Please don’t expect real sumo westling. The food is average, but you are not going to be there for the food in the first place. Quite a number of staff are capable of speaking in English and even Mandarin. My family had a fun time. Thanks.

it was a fantastic experience and so much fun. it was all in English so very easy to understand and follow. very well put together show and food was great. Would definitely recommend and do again on next visit to Japan.

The staff was extremely welcoming and helpful. We learned a lot about the history and sport of Sumo. The lunch was nice, light snack and the overall show was a good mix of theater and education. I would recommend the A seats if you have a mobility disability as the B seats have stairs.

I have read some negative reviews about this show. But I have not watch Sumo before. I decided to go for it. Things get interesting when the rules and techniques of Sumo are explained. Matches between Sumo wrestlers is very exciting. The MC is good looking but really need to work on his jokes.

We loved the show. The first half was a large screen explaining the history of Sumo while 4 Sumo wrestlers did some exercises in front.After a short break the second half was exciting. The rules were explained to us and the wrestlers had a mini tournament, the winner from each match progressing to the next, there were 3 matches. We were then invited to ask them questions, they were very informative and happy to share their diets, ages, weights, training schedules etc. The spectators were asked to participate in a fun match, names were put into a draw and 3 crowd members drawn out. This was light hearted and very funny. At the end they gathered for group photos. In the shop you can buy all sorts of souvenirs including hand towels with your favourite sumo to wave at the match. Our seats were even upgraded to front row, the bento was delicious. We had a great night and would highly reccomend this experience.
