Carve Your Art: Hand-on Wood Carving Workshop with Hoi An Masters

I had a 3 hour wood carving beginner session today - started off touring the compound and seeing the beautiful wood structures, seeing the craftsmen at work, before doing the wood carving course. We chose our designs, then the instructors taught us in stages such that we can learn quickly and work on our pieces. Special thanks to Nhut for helping us tremendously through the course. 100% recommend!

A couple signed up for the class that started at 2 PM on a weekend! I was worried about the location being remote, but it seems like the Grab drivers usually offer a fixed price for the return trip when you go there, so you don't have to worry about that. The experience itself was one of the most satisfying experiences I had while traveling in Vietnam. I especially loved the works displayed in the mini-museum and the kind explanations. The amazing final product is well worth the slight muscle pain that comes with it. Enjoy the peaceful scenery of the workshop too. I'm so happy to have such a wonderful souvenir to look back on when I return home! The previous content was translated smoothly. It was so good that I wondered why there weren't many Korean customers. The value for money is excellent!

A really unique experience unlike others in Vietnam. A relaxing time spent working with wood with trained artisans who guide you and help you address mistakes. Is great for ages 8 or 9 and up. I personally had a great time and would do it again.

The activity was very entertaining, even though it took around 3 hours. I was the only customer participating in this wood carving session, which was great because the instructor could focus solely on me. First, the instructor, named Thigh brought me to a small museum showcasing their carved creations, including Naruto and other anime-themed wood stands that they made themselves. Then, he took me to see how the production process worked, and I got to watch the workers carving the statues. After that, I started carving based on the design I chose. He was incredibly kind and helpful, assisting me whenever I needed guidance. He was very supportive, patient, and truly the best teacher I could have asked for. We also had some great conversations during the class, which made the experience even more special. It’s definitely one of my best memories from Hoi An!

My dad and I went together and luckily it was only us in the morning class so it was a very personalised and fun experience. They let you choose what design you want to create, so I carved a very cute Miya Atsumu. Highly recommend if you have 3 hours to spend!

Fabulous activity, no experience required. Tutors very friendly and knowledgeable, experienced at guiding you to create your own masterpiece. Set in the most beautiful location by the river. Both myself and husband had a fantastic time, so glad we re arranged our activities to schedule this in.

This was a fun activity with an excellent tutor who was exceptionally talented. He displayed a lot of patience, encouragement and expertise in helping us create our wood art pieces. The setting for the workshop is beautiful, set on a peaceful riverbank, overlooking fields. We really enjoyed this activity and would highly recommend it.

Booked this activity for my dad and I. My dad enjoys woodworking so this was great. The location itself was about 30 minutes away from Old Town but we got a Grab car to take us there and the instructor called a car for us to take us back after. The location is so serene over looking a maize plantation. We sat in the back deck with all the other artists working on their pieces. At the time, my dad and I were the only people there for the workshop so we got a lot of one on one attention. Our instructor was so nice and helpful and also very charismatic. I enjoyed talking to him and he answered all our questions. He was also very patient in helping us out with the process. We got to carve a simple picture into a block of wood. They gave us a selection of pictures to choose from. This place also sells custome made pieces. Overall we loved doing this together and would totally recommend! It was a great thing for us to do for a few hours in the afternoon.

Woodart Vietnam was an amazing experience. We were honored to work with the famous artist, Duy. He has 1 million + followers on Youtube. He and his other artists are hands on to help us finalize each piece. The wood art looks professional once completed. Everyone there was so kind and friendly. Not only adults, but our kids loved it as well. It is defintely worth the trip. I give them two thumbs up!!! 완전 강추!!! 방문해볼만한 가치있습니다!!
