Asakusa Kimono/Yukata Rental & Photo Experience (Tokyo/Oukakimono Sakura Kimono)

location: it's very just less than 5 mins walking distance to Sensoji Temple main gate. just to take note you type the full name of the shop into Google map, as there is another kimono rental near by called Ouka. experience: The staff are really warm and helpful, best part is that they can speak mandarin makes the communication so much easier. equipment: can be spoilt for options even for the mid range package! they offer broad range of prints for various colours (dark, bright and light). they also offer socks for the sandals that makes the grip easier to control. safety:They also have a separate room for male and female for fitting. pls do your own makeup and they will ask your preferred hairstyle or you can search for it and show them :)

We had so much fun renting our yukatas at this location. They were so nice and efficient. They put our Yukatas in for us and did a simple hairstyle to complement the look.

Location: Finding the location wasn't so hard after exiting the nearest train. Noted that need to take lift up to Floor 9. Experience: Kimono still intact when we return. safety: Kimono very clean and no funny smell. Instructor: Communication is okay. Able to understand what they said. Equipment: There is a baggage storage. Overall: Everything went smoothly. Staff very passionate and friendly. If you unsure, can always ask the staff for help. Will give 5 star.

We rented kimono's to walk around the markets and temple. We ended up taking a lot of beautiful photos and received so many compliments from people. My son picked out his first and I based my kimono on what complimented his best. The staff was very friendly and helpful with us. We are American so we needed adjustments on the length of the kimono as well as shoes that fit. The staff also did my hair and added several cute adornments that matched my look perfectly. My son was a little uncomfortable in the fit of his kimono and the staff made several adjustments to make him comfortable. The location is very convenient to the temple. We took the scenic route and stopped for photos many times on the way to the temple. I would definitely recommend this shop to anyone wanting to rent a kimono. It was the most affordable shop. It was also very convenient and close to everything. I wish I could type more about how friendly the staff was.

I had originally booked the basic kimono and hairstyling, intending to upgrade and pay extra once I saw the options, but the basic kimono and hairstyling were beautiful enough, so I didn't! I was worried because I don't speak any Japanese, but all the staff were so kind and helpful that we managed to communicate using body language and a translation app! I'll probably go again next time! Thank you :)

We visited this location recently and loved our experience. It is located on the ninth floor of the building it is located in. We booked in advanced and chose the simplest option on Klook which at the time was 26$ AUD. We chose from the basic style of summer kimonos provided to us (yuukatas) and although there was not heaps of options for the basic style we both found one we loved. We were then dressed. We got to choose and belt (obi) that we liked and matched our dresses. They added lace grilling and pearl detailing to our belts. We were so surprised at this feature as we didn’t realise that it was included in our package but we loved it and I pulled the whole outfit together. We then could choose any bag and hair flower accessories (we did own hair and makeup). It was an amazing experience. They kept our clothes and basic items and we transferred valuables into our decorative bags. Our appointment was at 11 and we were allowed to keep the kimonos on us until 5pm. 100% recommend.

The store is located in the middle of Senso-ji Temple and the subway, conveniently right on the way to Senso-ji Temple. I was happy to find a unique and beautiful kimono for the price of 129. After a tiring day of sightseeing, it's a bonus that there's a Yoshinoya right outside the door to grab a bite to eat!!
