After admiring the scenery, have a glass of red wine and enjoy the romantic style of Spain.
The wine was great, really reccomend this attraction
Personally, I think you can not only take photos and check in outside the Columbus Monument, but you can also go up to the tower to see the scenery, and then relax and drink wine at the bar with your partner, which is quite good.
Amazing experience. You can take amazing pictures. the view is amazing as well.
After Columbus returned from America, he disembarked at the port of Barcelona, Spain. In 1881, the local city council agreed to erect a monument to commemorate Columbus, so the monument today exists. People can't help but recall the glory of riding the sea and breaking waves.
Quite small place, windows are small too and dirty. However overall views are very nice. I was at 8.30, no tourists at all at this time.
This attraction is pretty decent, so if you have time, it’s worth a visit.
Only recommend when you finish all the major attractions in Barcelona city.

Guide

  • Delve into the history behind the Columbus Monument, unraveling its intriguing and impactful narrative
  • Gain entry to the panoramic zone situated 60 meters above ground, offering breathtaking city views
  • Immerse yourself in the rich historical legacy of the city by visiting this iconic and significant monument

Upon returning from his American voyage, Christopher Columbus intentionally docked in Barcelona Harbor. To commemorate this, visit the dedicated monument—an iconic statue supposedly pointing to the new continent, though America lies in the opposite direction. The summit offers stunning 360º views, showcasing the Gothic Quarter, Rambla, and Cathedral to the north, Mount Montjuïc and its cultural treasures to the south, and the maritime beauty of Royal Shipyards below. The eastern panorama reveals the modern Forum area and Olympic Marina, while to the west lies the vast green expanse of Parc Natural de Collserola. Ascend to the top for a breathtaking spectacle!
