We just stumbled upon this class here on Klook. I would highly recommend to try this one with the market tour. Chef Oanh's market tour was very informative and fun. After that we went to the cooking studio and it was squeaky clean and cozy. We prepared three dishes which we also ate ourselves and all of their staff were nice and helpful. Aside from that, Chef made sure to answer all of our curious questions with some of the native ingredients even after the tour. Please come and you will surely learn more about Vietnamese cuisine, plus all dished are filling. <3
Me and my two other friends enjoyed our class so much. Chef Oanh was constantly looking out on all the students ensuring we are keeping up with her presentation and guide us along the way. Her class was interactive and informative at the same time, providing us with a little fun facts of each dish and how the dish came about and evolves over time in each region of Vietnam - for example the famous Vietnamese Fried Spring Rolls. The other class assistants constantly ensure that we are also hydrated well and will come by to ask if we needed more drinks. Equipment and utensils are of great condition too and cleanliness was great! Their preparation station in their kitchen was neat and clean, which gives us a lot of assurance that Chef Oanh takes hygiene and food safety of the highest standards. We truly enjoyed our lessons with Chef Oanh and will definitely recommend to our other friends to join in for a fun afternoon cooking class. There are different menu for different days, so do check on their website for the daily menu on what’s cooking! 😉
Even in Korea, I only order delivery food, and the only thing I cook at home is ramen. I live alone. This was my first time learning how to cook since home economics class in high school, and it ended up being the best experience. Even if you've never cooked before and don't speak a word of English, you can do it. All ingredients and utensils are individually set, so it is hygienic and each dish is set up again, so all students have to do is take pictures and eat comfortably. I'm bragging to my friends and family all over the neighborhood that I cooked it, but they can't believe where I got the picture from. Maybe I have a talent for cooking..?
We booked a cooking class in Saigon through Klook and it was a fantastic experience. The price was reasonable, and we started with a market tour where we learned how to select fresh ingredients. During the class, we had the opportunity to cook three dishes. The chef guided us expertly, making the cooking process both educational and enjoyable. The food we prepared looked amazing and tasted even better! Overall, this was a worthwhile experience and a great way to immerse ourselves in Vietnamese cuisine. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Saigon!
The previous cooking experience in Bangkok was so much fun that we signed up for another culinary session in Vietnam. Before the class, the chef took us through the vibrant wet market, sharing on the commonly used ingredients in Vietnamese cuisine. The chef guided us through step by step with so much fun chopping, mixing the ingredients with the final products ending up in our stomach! Recommended activity in HCM
Seriously, our cooking class in Saigon was one of those trip highlights that just sticks with you. It felt super exclusive because it was just my two friends and me that morning. We got all the attention, which was awesome. Our chef was a gem. She was quite patient, guiding us through making three Vietnamese dishes. And the best part? She shared her own stories while we cooked, making it feel less like a class and more like hanging out with a friend who's an amazing cook. We were laughing and having such a great time preparing everything. We also agreed and think that the spring rolls we made that morning was hands down, the best we had our entire trip. The saigon cooking class was definitely a class we'll be remembering fondly for a long, long time. If you're heading to Saigon, you should try something like this!
We had a fantastic morning at Saigon Cooking School and thoroughly enjoyed the Saturday cooking class. We learned how to make fresh spring rolls, chicken and green mango salad, and traditional Vietnamese pancakes, with plenty of hands-on experience throughout. Chef Oanh and her assistant, Hồng, were knowledgeable, patient, and engaging, sharing helpful cooking tips and insights into Vietnamese cuisine. The kitchen was spacious, spotless, and very well equipped, creating a relaxed and enjoyable learning environment. Best of all, we got to enjoy the delicious dishes we had prepared ourselves, followed by a bonus serving of homemade banana ice cream, which was absolutely delicious. Thank you, Oanh and Hồng, for a wonderful experience, a fun morning, and some truly memorable food. We highly recommend this class to anyone visiting Ho Chi Minh City.
the venue was bit tricky to find, even Google map didnt really help much. Had to walk past this workshop to get there. The class was amazing though! Chef Oanh (sorry if I spelt wrong) explained everything in detail, share secrets and tips on which ingredients to use for the best result. another lady (omg I forgotten your name im sorry) she explained on the dessert and it was a surprise! didnt make the dessert as it needed to be done before hand. But it was such a good experience. Just book it. don't think 🤣
From the early morning gathering to tour the vegetable market, introducing all the big and small things in the market, to taking a taxi back to the cooking class to cook, the teacher was very attentive, kind and humorous, and I really liked this feeling. During the cooking process, there are people handling the preparation and cleaning. We only need to follow the teacher's steps once, and delicious food is born! The entire tour was conducted in English, and the Americans traveling with us had no problems, which shows that the teacher's English is very good. Although it is very similar to attending a class in Shangying, you can generally still understand it. Even if you don't understand, you can still follow the teacher's gestures, movements, and expressions. Everyone just laughs and laughs. Anyway, the food will be cooked and delicious! Highly recommended
What an amazing experience!! Our dedicated chef was friendly, knowledgeable and very encouraging. Our tour through the Ben Tanh markets was a fantastic way to see how local markets and vendors function. The lessons were easy to follow and the food was absolutely delicious. A huge advantage was having the ingredients pre-prepared by the cooking staff on hand. Additionally, a lot of thought and effort was put into making sure allergy requirements were met. A wonderful experience from start to finish.
