The hotel needs a new photographer to retake the photos, as the hotel is much nicer than we expected based on the sample images. The hotel is located right next to El Nido Airport, so you can see planes landing and taking off, which also makes transportation convenient upon arrival (though we took the bus from PPS). The distance to downtown is not too far and very straightforward, so we borrowed a motorbike and traveled back and forth with ease. We were very satisfied with the bike shop affiliated with the hotel—the prices were the same as those we found online for rentals in downtown, the motorbike was delivered directly to the hotel, it was in excellent condition, and returning it was simple; we just parked it at the hotel. The food at the hotel was also great. Breakfast included a variety of options, with many types of bread. We ended up having dinner at the hotel twice and ordered a few local dishes—all of which were fantastic and filling. We even enjoyed a live band performance that was so good we initially thought it was coming from a speaker. The beach was fun and offered many activities, although we couldn’t snorkel due to strong waves, which made the water too sandy, so I can’t comment on the snorkeling experience. In case of rain, there is a game room with a ping pong table, table soccer, and four Xbox consoles. The room was clean, with good water pressure and temperature. The pool had an interesting design, making it enjoyable to relax poolside with a coconut in hand. The hotel even offered a complimentary bottle of wine when relocating us to a new room due to an odor issue (the new room had no such problem). I would definitely come again if I visit El Nido.
