Really clean nice room, everything modern and well kept. Lovely staff who were really helpful when we needed spare pillows and some extra tea. Beautiful property, highly recommend.

Solo stay

Stayed for one night on business. The hotel is clearly aimed at travellers due to its proximity to the airport, but it is very dated and in need of a complete refurbishment. The room was not particularly clean, the bed was old and creaky, and overall the accommodation felt tired and worn. The restaurant was also extremely expensive for the quality and portion sizes offered – I paid £18.50 for a chicken burger that came with a very small serving of chips. I also ordered a Diet Coke with my meal, but it tasted so watered down that I had to ask for another. Unfortunately, I didn’t get much sleep as the hotel is located at the end of the runway and the windows do very little to block out the aircraft noise. The breakfast selection was very limited and, considering the additional cost on top of the room rate, offered poor value for money. Overall, the location may be convenient for the airport, but the condition of the hotel, overpriced food, poor breakfast offering, and noise levels make it difficult to recommend.

This was a bit like going to Fawlty Towers, at dinner, my wife was served a piece of panko chicken that would do a shoe sole repair and, when she complained about it the waitress went to the kitchen, came back and said "the cook is really sorry" no offer of replacement, my wife had to ask if she could get one that was edible. She then turned to me and asked "what about you, is yours alright" in a very 'I don't care' style. The breakfast, which I have had in previous years, was awful too!! Scrambled eggs were runny and like soup, bacon was burnt on one side and almost too tough to eat, sausages were like rubber dog toys and the fried eggs were piled up looking congealed and dry, we both ended up taking a breakfast roll and, with plenty of butter, made the sliced sausage edible, this was all accompanied by piped music which sounded like 1970s jazz. The hotel is tired, needs some severe upgrading and also more staff as they are stretched to the limit and had to close the restaurant due to 40+ German visitors. I had to wait for over 5 minutes at a bar stowed with dirty glasses for a barman to turn up and this isn't a good advert for Scottish hospitality. The price of drinks in the bar is very reasonable which is about the limit of the praise I can give, this once great hotel is being run into the ground, it feels outdated and understaffed, how they are going to cope in July and August with people using it to go to the airport, I dread to think and fear for the guests.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Management was on top of all details. Good location for walking on a pathway to city centre and it was quiet in the area. Nothing pristine about the property but clean and good beds.

I had reserved this place for the EV access at tue hotel. On arrival it was offline and I was not able to charge. The room was fantastic though, great bed. The bath had signs of wear and tear. The telly is not smart so could not link to mobile or any apps. Quite disappointed.
