I recently stayed at The Salvation Army Booth Lodge and was pleasantly surprised. Located in the heart of Kowloon, it’s a peaceful and affordable retreat from the busy streets of Hong Kong — ideal for budget-conscious travelers who value cleanliness, security, and simplicity. My room was basic but spotless, with essential amenities like air conditioning, a mini-fridge, kettle, and strong Wi-Fi. The ensuite bathroom was compact but had reliable hot water and toiletries. Housekeeping was excellent. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout my stay. I also appreciated the quiet atmosphere — perfect for relaxing after a day out. The location is very convenient, just a short walk from Yau Ma Tei MTR station, Temple Street Night Market, and lots of local dining options. Despite being central, the lodge feels safe and serene. Overall, Booth Lodge offers great value with comfort, cleanliness, and warm hospitality.

I loved my whole stay! it’s very close to the MTR & Bus stations, 7/11, and different restaurants! it’s also walking distance to the ladies market. The staff are very lovely and can converse in english which is a big plus. They also offer free UNLIMITED water and coffee, plus breakfast! The rooms are SPACIOUS and elegant. We always looked forward to coming home every night. The location is very safe! you need a hotel key to access the elevator and after midnight, you can access the automatic doors only with your hotel key so not everyone can come in which is a safety feature I loved! I WILL DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL! 1000000%!!!!

Highly recommending this Hotel. The Salvation Army is really near MTR station (Yau Ma Tei). They serve ‘FREE’ breakfast everyday!!!! They have FREE COFFEE, FREE MATCHA, FREE BREAD, etc. They also cleaned our room while we are away and i didnt have time to clean my personal stuff there before i left and i loved that they didnt touch any of my stuff (tho i dont recommend doing the same thing to what i did lol) but they replaced our bedsheets & bath towels. it’s a pretty plain room but they are 200% clean. And i loved it. They are also allowing leaving of luggages before and after check in/out, so you may take a tour around the city without worrying carrying ur luggage lol :)
