Fantastic 5.0
The tour is packed in one day. Very reasonable and worth the price. Our tour guide Andy is a safe driver, good at communicating and was also very generous in stopping at other beautiful spots apart from listed itinerary to take some shots. highly recommended.

Jim is incredibly enthusiastic about service, proactively looking after every member of the group. Everyone looks like a beauty or a handsome person in his photos. He's humorous and friendly. The trip was very enjoyable, Jim gets 100 points!

I went there for Mount Cook, but I also got to eat salmon and see the lake, so it was a great value with lots of activities! We had a transfer along the way, and both of our guides were wonderful people.

This would be by far my best tour ever! And I get to have the front seat during the trip. Our tour guide and driver by the name of Jason - he is nothing but awesome and very cool during our entire trip. He is very knowledgeable and knows Queenstown, Aoraki Mount Cook and other places we've been to very much. I also miss that music playlist that you have, Jason. Lol. Anyway, I joined the Mount Cook and Tasman Glacier tour. We had a couple of stopovers wherein we were able to take photos and selfies especially during the drive to Mount Cook. The view there was nothing but Amazing! He also shared about the story of Shrek the sheep. Snacks and water provided and he kept us well fed and hydrated. I cannot recommend Cheeky Kiwi Travel enough and especially Jason who made the trip, us his passengers safe and relaxed and enjoyed this whole excursion. I will surely book my future travels soon with Cheeky Kiwi. Cheers!

What to know before visiting Cromwell

Quick snapshot of Cromwell’s travel rhythm

Cromwell draws mostly on tours and outdoor & sports activities, with booked experiences clustering in those two categories. Demand rises and falls through the year, creating clear months when the town feels busiest and quieter.

Best months to visit and what to expect on prices

According to Klook booking data the busiest months are December and January, while demand drops to its lowest later in the year. Prices shift across the year too: November typically shows the lowest prices on Klook, while December is typically the priciest. If both demand and prices matter to you, note they move together here—visit in November for lower prices and smaller crowds, and aim for December or January if you want the peak-season atmosphere despite higher costs.

Tips for travellers from Singapore

Most travellers from Singapore book their Cromwell experiences a few weeks in advance, with a typical lead time around 20 days and many last-minute bookings possible within about two weeks. For short stays this makes spontaneous planning realistic, but if you travel in the December–January peak it helps to lock in popular tours and outdoor activities earlier to secure spots. Use Klook to compare availability and timing so you can plan the right mix of flexibility and certainty.
