Things to do in Sicily

The pick-up was punctual, the pick-up location was easy to find, the tour guide/driver had excellent driving skills, and a wealth of knowledge, providing a lively and interesting introduction along the way; the itinerary included visits to local specialty shops (with samples of honey, wine, and olive oil available for tasting), a walk through a volcanic cave (hard hats required for the entire duration, and the tour guide provided each person with a flashlight to use during the cave visit), and a walk on a trail towards the volcano; visiting in January meant that Mount Etna had recently been covered in snow, and the powdery snow covering the trails, combined with the smoking Mount Etna, made for great scenery and an unforgettable experience.

it was a wonderful trip up to Mount Etan, thanks to Carmelo. He has been very helpful along the way, without him we will not be able to come back down from the mountain easily and safely. Thank you very much for his service.

The tour guide was very enthusiastic and friendly. The scenery after taking the cable car (cable car tickets need to be purchased separately) was spectacular and well worth it. There is still snow on the mountain this season, so please be aware of glare from the snow and the risk of sunburn.

I was so grateful for our kind guide who explained everything thoroughly and took such good care of us. When I was struggling, they held my hand and walked with me, haha. It was a fun experience! ♥♥

We arrived at the Hadrian’s Arch at 8:15. There was no signage and no one there. . Some people suggested that we walk to the Temple of Olympian Zeus entrance, but it seemed that none of them had any idea about this tour because it’s private tour. So we went back to Hadrian’s Arch around 8:30, and Alexandra was waiting there with another visitor. Alexandra is an archaeologist, and she can beautifully link legends with history. Her explanations were interesting, with clear timelines and drawings. I felt like I was time-traveling back to Ancient Greece.The tour took about 4.5 hours, but we were not tired. We enjoyed the scenery, the Parthenon, and the stories and history. Alexandra was able to answer many questions from my teenage daughter, who loves Greek mythology. It is really worth going with a tour guide. Without her, we may not have known what we were seeing. If you are planning to visit the Ancient Agora to see the Temple of Hephaestus, you will need to buy another ticket.

This was my first time experiencing a fishing trip, going out to sea with a fishing boat and seeing many different kinds of fish caught in the nets. Being able to cook and eat them right on the boat was a truly magical experience, and we all had a wonderful day. My companions were also very friendly. Although I didn't go into the water, the water here is incredibly clear. I think it would be even more comfortable to go swimming once the weather gets a bit warmer. If you get seasick, you might want to take some motion sickness medication beforehand to help settle your stomach. Even though the waves weren't big, there's always some rocking on a boat. The drinks and food on board were excellent. It was my first time seeing flying fish, which were fascinating even though you can't eat them, and also squid that squirted ink. The prawns were delicious! You can throw the fish bones from your plate into the sea to feed the seagulls and attract other small fish. The schools of fish will gather, allowing you to see many fish with your own eyes. Mr. Giovanni is very professional and friendly, and he's also a great cook. The boat is adorable too, a blue fishing boat named after his daughter. It's very beautiful. If you're looking to go out to sea, choosing him is definitely the right decision!
