Nagano Day trips

Carp did a great job being a guide for this day tour I went on. She is interactive and knowledgeable. However, at the beginning it was a bit of a shaky start regarding of the free admission to the monkey park of the tour when we were advised that it wasn't included and there were few people queried it. But Carp was professional handling it, contacted the head office and 100% confirmed this tour includes free admission to the park. Other than that the tour went pretty well. For those who want to take part of this tour, bring your own lunch or snacks before the tour due to tight schedule and you can eat it on the bus. Be prepared to do lots of walking but you will enjoy it in the end.

What to bring: Drinks and snacks, waterproof shoes, waterproof jacket, umbrella, hat, phone cross-body strap, backpack, wet wipes. We went on a small tour with our Alpan guide, just 11 of us. It started at 8:00 AM and ended at 1:30 PM. First, don't go to the snow wall; go to the pond first and walk as far as you can. You can see everything at the snow wall in about 25 minutes round trip. You can see the pond with melted ice, the hot springs in the distance, and if you're lucky, even the mascot bird. The bird poses well, so you can comfortably take photos. Although it was a very quick tour, I'm satisfied. I'm thinking of going again personally during the upcoming winter season. Alpan guides are the best! If you get an Alpan guide, your trip will be much easier.

Our Guide ia Arpan. He is very nice person, helpful and attending. Kamikochi scenic area have a very beautiful view during this autumn.

Tour absolutely worth visiting, the time is limited and not enough to visid everything unless you walk very fast without breaks... But the place is stunning even on a basik route. Guide Han spoke really good English and explained all important information and gave useful recommendations.

Hassle free travelling. Have your own transport for pick up and drop off. Do not expect too much commentary from the guide. Only essential information. Just one additional piece of information. Food purchase is by cash. Card is acceptable for purchase of souvenirs.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An absolutely amazing experience with Snow Monkey Resorts! 🐒❄️ We had such a fantastic time, thanks to our awesome tour guide, Hishiro, and our wonderful driver, Asaki (apologies if I’ve spelt your names incorrectly! 😊). Hishiro was such a cool, friendly and knowledgeable guide who made the whole experience even more enjoyable. He was also incredibly thoughtful, knowing we’d had a big day the day before trekking through the Cedar Woods 😂🌲 It was those little things that really made us feel looked after. A huge shout-out to Asaki as well! He was an excellent driver, so polite, professional and friendly, making the journey comfortable and stress-free. These two really made our day extra special, and we couldn’t have asked for a better team! ❤️ If you’re thinking of booking a tour with Snow Monkey Resorts, I highly recommend them! 🙌 Hopefully, you’re lucky enough to get Hishiro and Asaki too — they were absolutely awesome! Thank you both for such a memorable experience! 🇯🇵

good tour guide Mr Hiroshi on 10 June for the snow wall tour. well planned and great time management. very friendly and always willing to answer the questions.

We had a brilliant time on the tour. Taketo was a fantastic tour guide who was knowledgeable, engaging and spoke great English. He really made the day for us. The monkey park and vineyard were highlights of the day although all the locations we visited were stunning. I would absolutely recommend this tour to any other visitors!

What a great day and super guide, Ryu. The rain and cold air did not stop us from enjoying the tour. Ryu was kind and knowledgeable from the start. He helped us navigate the train tickets, bus fare and entrance fees. The snow monkeys showed up in full force and we had infinite photo opportunities. After a delicious lunch we took the bus to a local onsen and warmed our feet in the hot spring water. The train then took us back to
