Fantastic 5.0
If you’re going to Yogyakarta, I encourage you to book Greenhost. The location is great, nice restaurants in the surrounding lanes, good massage around too. In the city centre, so most tours can pick you up from here. The hotel is beautiful, lots of photo spots. The staff is very nice. I booked the basic room but it has everything you might need (Except a hairdryer). Overall I love this hotel, it’s very warm and the green really makes you feel like you’re in a nice holiday resort.

Borobudur Temple: Very easy flow steps of visiting the park and the temple. They provide slippers to wear- make sure you try both styles. The guide had a lot of knowledge, 30mins with guide. Then 30mins to explore ourselves - plenty of time. dont buy souvineers here as it is more expensive. There is a cafe and restaurant as you walk back to the start - has gelato, food, drinks, air conditioning- nice break! About 1hr - 1.5 hr drive in between Temples Prambanan Temple: Had a 30min guide-spoke English. Really nice area to check out other than the temples. You can get on a tram to get to the Siwa Temple = 25,000IDR /per person - however only have 10mins to check it out. They still putting the temples all back together. Buy your souvineers from here. The cheapest compared to Borobudur Driver: Erich messaged night before and he was on time. Safe driving and he made sure we were comfortable. He took us to a place for lunch which provided delicious food (additional). Very friendly and kind.

Mount Merapi is definitely a must go attraction in Yogyakarta. Where can u can get close to a live volcano which is still having a small eruption 2 months ago. We were brought close the 4km radius but unfortunately we couldn't see the top bcos of the cloud. But on the way to the place, were able to see the whole volcano from the car. The jeep driver which is also our guide could speak good English and able to explain all the stuff and being a local who lives within 6km radius when it last had a big eruption in 2009/10. The jeep ride was an experience for my wife and kids. The water ride through the river bed, if want to do it, must wear rain coat. U will definitely get wet. We chose not to do it as I think even with rain coat, it will still get wet. Moreover, it was quite a dry river bed and when the jeep rode over, brought water and sands as well.

this is for the adventure seekers. really fun drop down Jomblang cave - you really need to set aside fear and go for it. the cave itself is easy to navigate with the crew. they will hold your hand on the muddy steps and help take photos. worth it! wear something waterproof, maybe need long tights or long pants and long socks. but all your clothes will get dirty so bring a new set of clothes to change. wear slippers there to change to their boots. a tip is to buy a cheap head lamp from Daiso for this trip! the river tubing is also very relaxed after the cave. great helpful guides.

Fantastic 5.0
Our driver, Nur, was on time and super accommodative. He shared some local insights as we drove to our locations and suggested food to get as well. He was also attentive and guided to our locations clearly. Recommended. Merapi and Borobudur were both beautiful locations. Truly enjoyed it.

Fantastic 5.0
A fantastic day with so much to see and do. We chose a private tour which gave us so much flexibilty with our times. Our guide and driver Romy was excellent. He was a great communicator, telling us exactly what to expect, how long things might take and exactly where to be.

Fantastic 5.0
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our day with Aris. He was a very competent driver and knew all the backroads and shortcuts to get us to our destination on time. We also really liked talking to him; he communicated very well in English (since we don't speak Indonesian).
