Treat yourself to a summery getaway in Hawaii!

Aloha! When you think of summer and beach trips, it’s almost impossible for Hawaii not to come to mind. It’s a destination for those wanting to get a full experience of island life — seafood platters, stunning beaches, summer heat, leis, water sports, and more!
There are so many things to do in Hawaii, but to help you a bit in the planning stage, we’ve come up with this list of must-visits and must-dos!

Best places to go in Hawaii

We've rounded up some of the best places to go in Hawaii. Check out the list below and find a destination that suits your itinerary best!

    1. Volcanoes National Park

Here’s something to tick off your bucket list! Visiting Hawaii’s Volcanoes National Park gives you an experience of a lifetime by getting up close to active volcanoes. By active, we mean you’ll see actual lava flowing out from the volcano’s fissures. Don’t worry! When a volcano is in a period of seismic activity that might pose a threat to visitors, necessary restrictions are applied.

    2. Mauna Kea

    stars in the sky
While Hawaii is known for its sunny days and beaches, its night sky is a stunning view that you won’t want to miss too! Mauna Kea, one of the world’s best astronomical observation points, offers a clear view of the skies as it is the highest mountain of Big Island in Hawaii. Watch the blue skies show orange hues as the sun sets and stay through the night to see the dark skies start to glimmer with little sparks of light as the stars appear!

    3. Waikiki

    Waikiki trolley
Did you even go to Hawaii if you didn’t step foot in Waikiki? This Waikiki trolley pass will allow you to ride the iconic orange double-decker bus in the neighborhood. There’s also an option to ride an open-air trolley if you want to feel the summer breeze. The Waikiki trolley will pass by 3 different routes to get to the island’s most famous attractions that you won’t want to miss: Diamond Head Crater, Iolani Palace, and Sandy Beach. Feel free to hop on and off whenever you want to, just don’t lose your pass!

    4. Umauma Falls

    Tourists ziplining
Feel like you’re Mowgli from The Jungle Book through this zipline experience in Umauma Falls! It will be a thrilling 30-mile journey where you get a good view of the river water and hear the beautiful sound of nature as you zip through the Hawaiian jungle. You’ll pass by 18 waterfalls, including the Umauma Falls, so keep your eyes open for that! While you’re at it, try to spot the native Hawaiian hawk that lives in the area named I’o.

    5. Big Island

    Tourists snorkeling at night
Ever wondered what it’s like to go snorkeling at night? Wonder no more! This Big Island snorkeling experience allows you to swim with manta rays at night. These manta rays are lovely and calm so treat this experience as if it’s a date between you and the manta rays swimming under the moonlight.

    6. Kualoa Ranch

    Tourist on an ATV Raptor
Ride your way through Hawaii’s Kualoa Ranch! This ATV Raptor experience will take you to see the beauty of this private nature reserve like deep and scenic valleys. Make sure to drive through streams and mud since that’s what makes this experience extra fun. Don’t forget to take as many photos and videos as you can for it’ll be a memory worthy of looking back to!
Hawaii is a place that’ll take your breath away with all the nature, culture, and adventure that they have in store for their visitors. There are so many activities that you can do and thinking about what activity to do first, second, or third is a challenge.
But, now that you have an idea or two of where to go and what to do in Hawaii, mapping out your activities won’t be much of a hassle anymore (that’s what we’re here for!)
Klook Tip: book your destination and activity tickets ahead so you won’t stress yourself out with reservations when you land in Hawaii!
    Aloha!
