    shangrila singapore the line buffet
Yes! The Line still offers an ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT meal. The Flavours of the World buffet is back to bring you UNLIMITED servings of whatever is available on their menu. The daily lunch buffet is available between 12 to 2.30pm while dinner is from 6 to 10pm and you can eat throughout the meal service, no time limits.

What’s the difference between pre-COVID and now?

Shangri-La Hotel Singapore Buffet at The Line
While in the past you were allowed to walk up to the different stations to scoop your own food, due to the safety restrictions in phase 3 this is no longer allowed. Instead, all dishes are served to your tableside and they are beautifully plated, perfect for photos.
Each dish is made to order so you’ll get piping hot fresh food every time you place an order.
The usual safe distancing measures apply as well, from safe entry check-ins to limitations of 8 diners per table. You will also only be allowed to remove your face masks when your first food or beverage item arrives.

How do I choose my food?

There will be a QR Code menu on the table for you to browse through their 88 different dishes spanning across multiple cuisines from Japanese to Chinese to even Lebanese. Simply add your desired dishes and the number of servings you’d like to cart and the servers will bring it to your table.

    Are there any new dishes?

    shangrila singapore the line buffet
They have recently added 2 new cuisines to their menu - Lebanese and also a Plant Based section. Afraid you can’t commit to a whole meal worth of a new cuisine? This is definitely a good time to try out new dishes that you wouldn’t normally order.

How if I have dietary restrictions?

While The Line buffet is not halal-certified, you can simply ask your server to recommend dishes that are served without pork or lard. They will also be happy to recommend vegetarian dishes. If you’re interested to know the ingredients in specific dishes due to food allergies, just call for a server and they’ll be happy to help!

    Does it come with drinks?

The Line buffet does come with free flow coffee, tea and water. Trust us, you’ll want to save plenty of tummy space for food instead of filling yourself up with drinks.

    What’s the menu like?

You’ll be spoilt for choice with 88 dishes on the menu. We’ve reviewed some of the dishes below so read on to find out our top pick.

Does my child need to pay for the buffet as well?

    • Children aged 6 to 11 years old enjoy 50% savings on adult price.
    • Kids below 6 years old eats free with every 1 paying adult

Must-try dishes at Shangri-La Hotel Singapore The Line Buffet

Shangri-La Hotel Singapore Buffet at The Line
Our favourites were definitely the local flavours!
Laksa: The Laksa definitely surprised us. The sweetness of the giant prawn, chewy rice noodles and the lemak gravy came together perfectly and we mixed in the sambal provided for an added spice kick. It even comes served with a mini Ngoh Hiang which we happily dipped into the gravy.
Chilli Crab: Every Singaporean’s favourite, how could we miss out on ordering this. Served with perfectly crisp Mantou pillows, the Chilli Crab sauce was slightly tangy and not too spicy and just the right amount of garlicky. The crab flesh was sweet and fresh!
Fried Hokkien Prawn Noodles: The noodles were oozing with umami flavour, the prawn and pork broth had been reduced to a thick and savoury sauce that coated the noodles really well. You can even taste the wokhei flavour. Of course, this comes topped with crispy lard bits for added texture.
Rojak with Cuttlefish: You’ve got to get your fill of fruits and vegetables right? The Rojak came with pineapple, apple and guava and of course, dough fritters! The sauce was sweet and topped with the salty grilled cuttlefish, it was a symphony of flavours.

We also tried some of our Shangri-La servers recommendations and we were not disappointed!
Seafood Platter: If you’re a huge fan of seafood, you’ll love this fresh seafood on ice. The natural flavours of the crustaceans and shellfish come true, you won’t even need the dipping sauce.
Beef Tenderloin Rossini: Cooked to a perfect medium rare, the beef tenderloin came on a bed of creamy mashed potatoes and a port wine sauce.
Protein: This was a new dish under the plant based menu and to be honest, we were slightly skeptical at first! Pink food? But we were pleasantly surprised by the refreshing beetroot that was dressed with a citrusy tang. The crispy beetroot on top helps give it extra crunch and texture!
Beef Kebab: The beef kebab was super savoury, well marinated and topped with a yogurt sauce and on the side there is a slightly peppery sauce for you to dip your meat in as well!

Of course, you can’t say you’ve completed a meal till you’ve had dessert!
Durian Coconut cake: This was recommended by ALL the servers that passed by our table that day. While it looks unassuming, the rich creamy durian mousse and the slightly salted desiccated coconut flakes plus soft sponge cake is truly a match made in heaven. We would eat a whole cake worth. In one sitting.
Muah Chee: A childhood favourite that we couldn’t resist ticking off the menu. The mochi was chewy and topped with crushed roasted peanuts and sugar, it really is a sweet trip down memory lane.
Japanese Mochi: These were almost too cute to eat! Bite into the chewy mochi skin and you’ll find it filled with a sweet azuki red bean paste.
Salted Caramel Choux: Filled with a sweet chantilly cream with a salty finish, the choux was definitely a surprise. Not cloying at all, we managed to finish the entire puff even though we were stuffed from all the food.
