M Social Singapore Hotel Staycation Review

Step into a serene scene of well-pruned trees lining the Singapore River. On days with a gentle breeze and just the perfect weather, you’ll be surprised at how similar Robertson Quay is to the famed Meguro River in Tokyo!
If this description hasn’t already convinced you to embark on one of the most trendy staycations you’ll have in Singapore, how about participating in a cocktail masterclass or making a personalised perfume too.
That’s why you need to experience M Social Singapore for yourself to find out what the hype is about!

Experience the best of French design on this staycation

First of all, can I just say how blown away we were at the interiors of M Social Singapore! The vibrant mural and dazzling floor tiles at the hotel’s lobby are just a small taste of what to expect going into this staycation.

Designed by famed French architect Philippe Starck, each corner of the hotel is filled with bold designs and meticulously positioned furniture to provide guests with an all-round aesthetic experience!

    Alcove Cosy Room

‘Super Chic’, was the first thing that popped into our minds when we entered the Alcove Cosy Room, after which were ‘vibes’, ‘luxurious’, and ‘I don’t ever want to leave this bed!’ With a 4-meter high ceiling and cleverly placed mirrors, this room felt so much more spacious than it looks!

The simple industrial design and warm lighting add an extra sense of cosiness to the room, no matter if it’s day or night. Honestly, just lying on the bed and staring into the ceiling was so relaxing.

Bathroom goal is also when the toilet of your hotel room looks as luxurious as the room itself!

    Loft Gallery

Now this is something that you’ll not get to experience every day, living in an actual loft! A clever use of vertical space, areas of rest and relaxation are separated by a flight of stairs. But if you ask me, this whole room is a combination of rest and relaxation!

With designer furniture filling the upper level of this room, this is the best place to catch up on your dramas (TV comes with screen mirroring function) or to just chill out with a novel.
Extra points if you manage to get a good shot of yourself looking all classy while chillin.

This room also comes with a Nespresso machine, toiletries and a ring light around the basin mirror. Talk about always being picture ready guys!

    Hotel Pool

A long single-lap pool overlooking Robertson Quay, this pool area is really cosy with a wall of greenery by the poolside and multiple deck chairs for you to get that tan on.
With some staycation packages, you’ll even get free flow of Bubbles as you lounger here *wink*

    Cocktail Making Workshop

Now here’s the real reason why I wanted to go on this staycation in the first place, the free cocktail making workshop with Beast & Butterflies mixologist Vladyslav Yesepiv!

All jokes aside, this 1-hour experience was a real eye-opener where we learnt so much more about cocktails and liquor than we thought we knew. From how to pair different combinations of spirits to using the proper technique to shake your drink.
You’ll even get to bring home your very own shaker!

    Beast & Butterflies

Besides being the venue for the cocktail making workshop, you can also enjoy breakfast or 3 snack items from the tapas menu at Beast & Butterflies. Enjoy dishes with a blend of Asian and Western influences will totally knock your socks off!

Ordering here is very simple too, just scan the QR code on the menu and you’re good to go. Also, here’s something fun we found out when we were dining there. Request for a 3D printed image to be on your coffee and get ready to be amazed!

    Perfume Making Workshop

From the sense of taste to smell, you can also choose to participate in a perfume making workshop by Maison 21G during your staycation here at M Social Singapore!
m social review perfume workshop 2
I actually made a personalised perfume that suited my personality with 34 scents to choose from! And it was so easy to follow along too.

With help from the instructor, all we had to do was scan a QR code which led us to a Maison 21G quiz and the fun part started from there.
