Minions In Santa Hats, Hogwarts Light Show And A Crystal Tree This Christmas At Universal Studios Japan

It’s almost nearing the end of the year and that can only mean 1 thing – it’s time to countdown to Christmas! We can’t think of a better way to bask in the Christmas spirit than to spend a day in Universal Studios Japan. With a giant illuminated Christmas tree and the fuzzy yellow Minions all decked out in Santa hats, here’s what you can expect at this year’s Universal Crystal Christmas!

Date: 14 November 2019 to 13 January 2020

With so many extra things to see and do this Christmas, you’ll definitely want to enter the park as quickly as possible before the queues build up. Couple your entrance ticket with an Express Pass to bypass the lines for selected rides. 

You’ll also want to snag an extra Universal Crystal Christmas special viewing area pass to ensure you get the BEST views of the Christmas production!

This all new Christmas light show takes you behind the moving scenes of a love story set in a shimmering crystal world. 

What’s Christmas without a tree right? This 30 metre tree is iconic to Universal Studios Japan. This year, decked out in dazzling lights the Universal Crystal Tree steals the show yet again with her glitz and glamour. 

The shining crystal lights around the park will make you feel as if you’re walking through a kaleidoscope!

It’s a Bello Yellow Christmas at the Minion Park! At noon, the minions come out dressed in their fanciest Christmas outfits and are ready for photos. With the backdrop of crystal trees sparkling in the sun, this is one shot you don’t want to miss. 

Venue: New York Area Gramercy Park

If you’ve seen the Christmas feasts in the Great Hall and the warm butter beers that Harry and his friends stuff themselves with in the movies, you’ll know that Christmas in the Wizarding World is a whole new level of magical. 

Watch the castle light up with beautiful snowscape projections on the castle walls. This show will be available daily 30 minutes after sunset – 30 minutes to 60 minutes before the park closes. The schedule varies daily so be sure to check out the showtimes before your visit. 

Four Hogwarts students and their frogs are ready to charm you with their Christmas harmonies. Whoever said frogs only croak obviously haven’t met these magical beings yet!

One of the best parts of Christmas is of course, stuffing yourself silly at the Christmas feast. For a limited time only, indulge in a special Christmas Buffet. Enjoy free flow roast beef and roast chicken as well as desserts. The meal also includes a choice of 1 pasta!

It’s not Christmas without PRESENTS. Snag some exclusive Christmas themed souvenirs to take home as presents for your loved ones back home. The Christmas tree is decorated with the colors of the 4 Hogwarts houses and will make for the PERFECT present for any Potterhead.
