Kyoto Premium Kimono Rental and Photoshooting by Kimono Fusengawa

I searched for a long time for a rental for my wife and me, reading many reviews for various providers where people were not satisfied. With this rental, I can absolutely not find anything negative to say and can only highly recommend it! The staff was extremely friendly, and the selection was very diverse (I can only emphasize that the extra cost for the more expensive kimonos is really worth it in combination with the photoshoot). We are thoroughly impressed and will recommend it to all our friends who want to rent a kimono in Kyoto! Thank you very much!!

We had a wonderful time, both during the preparations and the photoshoot. Kimono Fusengawa offers very beautiful kimonos with a wide selection, and the hairstyling was done with great skill. Our photographer guided us expertly during the session, and we are delighted with the result! We highly recommend them without reservation; the staff is lovely and very attentive!

It was the best experience we had during our Osaka&Kyoto trip. This package(Couple kimono) is definitely hassle free as it allows us to choose our preferred outfit (within a specific simplified designs) from their range, it also comes with basic hair styling. I did my own basic make up during the shoot, which is quite sufficient for the shoot. The outlet assistants were gracious & polite helping us in our outfit. The outlet has also assigned a good photographer, Steven Lou. (If you are looking for chinese speaking, he conversed well) He was great & had excellent skills too. He was able to communicate well, to provide guidance on our shoot.

An incredible experience! We chose the kimono experience as a couple, including a photoshoot. I had my makeup and hair done by the team, who did an amazing job. The photographer took some beautiful photos and guided us throughout the entire shoot. The team is very kind and helpful. We had an incredible time. Thank you again!

Booking this place we knew we were paying a lot more than other providers but thought it would be worth it if quality of experience was better since it is our first time in Japan & never done this type of activity before. We are really glad we did as the quality of the Kimonos and service was excellent. They were really attractive and I was really happy with the hairstyle done on me! It turned out so beautiful, and they were really helpful in helping me choose the colours to go with my Kimono. Overall I am satisfied with the entire experience.

First of all this kimono studio was top quality. We walked past some "budget" places and none of them were as nice as Kimono Fusengawa. It felt very VIP and everyone was so helpful and friendly. We got to pick through so many different colorful and beautiful options, even my husband had fun picking out his. We opted to upgrade and get out makeup done and she really listened to what I wanted. The ladies who helped us get into our kimono were so nice and we had a fun time. Once all ready, they took a quick photo (to send to our photographer so he could easily find us) and then ordered us a a taxi which took us to Maruyama Park and a dense collection of temples and ancient streets. Our photographer met us right away and then took us on a whirlwind adventure of photos! He was so great at getting us to look our best (tilt you head down, turn a little this way, lift you hand up a bit) and the photos came out STUNNING! We had such an amazing experience and I want to thank every there!

Amazing, super friendly, respectful and super professional. Let us in 10 minutes early when we arrived. Worked on us right away to have more time to make our photoshoot appointment early in the day. There are so many options for Kimonos and hakamas, Quality over quantity for sure.

It was a very professional service. the store was lovely and there were lots of high quality kimonos to choose from. The ladies styled my hair and added hair accessories. I was very impressed with the lady that dressed me, very professional and thorough. I love the kimono I got to wear and I felt very beautiful. The shop is close to a lot of beautiful locations.
