What to expect
【Yoichi Orchard】 Located in Yoichi, Hokkaido’s fruit-growing region, visitors can enjoy the fun of picking different fruits throughout the four seasons. In summer, you can taste cherries, peaches, and blueberries, while in autumn, seasonal fruits such as grapes, apples, and pears are available. The orchard is built on a hillside, allowing visitors to enjoy the natural scenery while savoring the sweet taste of freshly picked fruits. It is a popular orchard loved by families with children. ※ The types of fruits available for picking will be adjusted according to the current season and weather conditions. Please refer to the actual fruits available at the orchard on the day of your visit.
【Yoichi Distillery】 The founding distillery of “Nikka Whisky,” a representative brand of Japanese whisky, established by Masataka Taketsuru, the “Father of Japanese Whisky.” The distillery preserves a large number of retro red brick buildings and traditional distillation equipment, exuding a strong historical atmosphere. Visitors can freely tour the distillery, learn about Japanese whisky culture, and purchase popular whiskies and commemorative items at the limited store.
【Shakotan Peninsula】 The Shakotan Peninsula, known as the “representative of Hokkaido’s coastal scenic beauty,” is famous for its highly transparent “Shakotan Blue” waters. Coastal cliffs, unique rock formations, and the clear blue sea intertwine to create a magnificent landscape, making it one of Hokkaido’s most representative natural hidden gems. In summer, the sea and sky merge into one, while in autumn, you can admire the seasonal scenery where the coast and mountains intersect.
【Cape Kamui】 Cape Kamui is located at the northwestern tip of the Shakotan Peninsula, with a trail extending to the very end of the cape. Surrounded by the azure Sea of Japan on both sides, the scenery is breathtaking and spectacular. Along the way, you can overlook the Shakotan Blue coast, unique rock formations, and the boundless seascape, making it a highly popular scenic spot in Hokkaido for photo opportunities. On clear days, you can even admire the magnificent scenery where the sea and sky connect. ※ The “Gate of No Return” at Cape Kamui may be temporarily closed due to strong winds, bad weather, bear sightings, or safety concerns, in which case it will not be possible to walk to the very end of the cape. Should the above situation occur, the tour guide will adjust the itinerary for the day, appropriately extend the stay at other attractions, or add nearby attractions to enhance the overall travel experience. We appreciate your understanding.

Reviews
This was one of the highlights of our Hokkaido trip! The itinerary was well planned, and we had enough time to enjoy each stop without feeling rushed. The fruit picking experience was fun, and the fruits were fresh and delicious.
Guide was friendly and candid. Although the fruit-picking activity was cancelled due to limited fruits being available for picking, the guide/shop offered to replace the experience with 3 punnets of strawberries that could be taken away for consumption. Overall a good experience. May want to make a special note to be properly dressed for the hour hike. It's very windy, so bring only things you need, and leave the rest of your belongings on the bus/van. With the additional time, the guide took us for an hour's visit to the streets of Otaru, which I appreciated having not been there.
It was a great tour! Our tour guide, Ah Fong, was incredible. He made sure everyone was informed of the plans via WhatsApp, including the return time and bus number. It was very convenient, especially since it’s easy to lose track of time during the trip. He also explained everything clearly in English and then translated it into Mandarin. The flow of the tour was very smooth, and ample time was given at each stop. We had fun picking strawberries at the Nitori Orchard. There was a ¥2,800 fee per person if you wanted to pick fruits, but it included unlimited fruit for 30 minutes while at the orchard. We also enjoyed Cape Kamui — one of the best spots we’ve visited in Japan. The 40-minute trail was absolutely worth it. Thanks again, Ah Fong!
Great tour program. Timing for a visit of each place is perfect. Sakura, our tour guide is very lovely and very helpful. At cape Kamui we need to walk quite a distance to the cape end. I really enjoy the activities on this tour. Abundant cherries for picking, whiskey tasting at a distillery museam and enjoing beautiful scenery are what we can expect from this tour program.
Overall, this is a good tour! My husband and I really enjoyed this as: a) the spots were worth visiting, specially the cape kamui, b) offered nice experience i.e to do fruit picking. This time we did cherry picking and we were able to eat them while in the farm, and whiskey tasting (but need to pay for the tasting menu) c) the tour guide was really nice and can speak English, and d) tour wasnt rush at all, we had enough time to explore and relax. We highly recommend this!
A must go 1 day trip. Nitori apple garden is incredible. though the tour guide couldnt speak English, he is helpful. the road way to Shakotan is cover with fantastic yellow forest. Our trip is on 2.11.
it’s been one of the highlights of my trip in Hokkaido. The spots were stunningly beautiful and the guide was very attentive with me as the only non-Chinese speaker (it is more catered towards Chinese tourists which I knew upfront). A beautiful trip I will not easily forget.
The itinerary was good. although the tour c was primarily for Chinese, the guide Zhou Zheng exerted extraordinary efforts to make the English speakers understand everything and not to feel left out. He used Google translate to communicate with us. The cherries are almost out of season, we mostly picked plums and blueberries.
I enjoyed the tour. Zhou Zheng is a very cheerful and helpful tour guide, provided any information and extra info on food in sapporo. the places we visit is nice, time given is adequate, just that the cherry farm is almost at the end of the harvesting, so many are gone or rotten on the tree. as I have visited a different cherry farm on my own, with comparison, I had such feeling. the rest are all good memories, recommended. don't eat in the restaurant in nikka, that's my advise. the service is erogent, and slow. it doesn't worth as the time is limited there. take the seafood option in the next place is much better experience
Excellent experience - attractions were so interesting and diverse. More than enough time given at each location. Very different from other typical Yoichi tours. Cherries were fresh and it was so fun to pick them. Especially loved Cape Kamui with the views and sights. Our guide was very thoughtful about allocating appropriate time to each place.
