Chichen Itza, Cenote & Valladolid with Tequila Tasting

Booked this Chichen Itza tour from Cancun and had a great experience overall. Pickup was at 5:15 AM, and the van was comfortable enough to nap during the 2-hr drive. One of the highlights was arriving early at Chichen Itza before the crowds. Our guide, Kevin, was knowledgeable and shared fascinating insights about Mayan history, while our driver, Razel, made the journey smooth and comfortable. After Chichen Itza, we stopped at a cenote for swimming, lunch, and tequila tasting. The cenote and tequila tasting were enjoyable, but the buffet lunch was disappointing and below average. The final stop was Valladolid, a charming town and a nice addition to the itinerary. We returned to our hotel around 6:00 PM. It’s a full 12-hr day, but well worth it for anyone wanting to learn about Mayan civilization and visit one of the New Seven Wonders of the World.

Pastor, the tour guide, made the entire trip very fulfilling. In addition to helping us better understand Mayan culture, he also carefully arranged some interactive elements during his explanations, something I didn't see other tour guides doing. Chichikan Cenote is a bit touristy inside, and the buffet isn't good, so I recommend bringing your own food. Chichen Itza is very impressive, and the tour guide specially adjusted the itinerary to arrange a visit when there weren't as many tourists, so there weren't many people in the photos either. Booked this day trip from Playa del Carmen with Amigo Tours on Klook, and overall it was a fantastic experience. Chichén Itzá was stunning, swimming in the cenote was refreshing, and the stop in Valladolid was charming. Our guide was very knowledgeable, the driver kept us safe throughout, and the bus had ice-cold A/C, which was a lifesaver in the Yucatan heat.  Heads up on separate fees: The ruins tax/entry fee, cenote admission, and rentals (mandatory life vest and locker) are not included in the Klook booking price. You can pay these in advance via a link they send or in person on the day of the tour. This wasn't clearly explained during booking and caused some confusion. It would be much better if Klook and the operator stated these upfront or bundled them into the total package price.  Once that was sorted, the trip ran smoothly and on time. Highly recommended—just budget extra for the on-site fees and rentals!

we love this tour. Jonathan, Pastor and Manuel from Amigo Tours they were amazing. There knowledge about the Maia culture is impressive. We will highly recommend this tour with this guys to everyone we know. The cenote was one of the mos beautiful things that I see in my live. The food buffet was good. The tequila tasting was also impressive ( coconut tequila was my favorite). In general a 5⭐️experience. itinerary:

It was incredible to visit Chichen Itza, an open-air cenote, and the colonial city of Valladolid. The guides were very kind and very funny (Rey). Thank you for this amazing day!

One of the best tour I got in Cancun. the tour is so good and explain a lot of info about Maya. The lunch is ok which better than expected.

guide: Rey was excellent 👌 His knowledge of the Mayan ruins and the passion with which he explains everything is outstanding. Also loved his sense of humour and the care with which he managed the tour is remarkable. itinerary: First stop was Chichen Itza : one of the seven wonders of the world , was beautiful 😍. Worth the travel that we made from India to have a look at this 9th century Marvel. Also the similarities between Indian traditions and beliefs were uncanny. The next stop : Chichiken Cenote . Good to roam around but not the best Cenote experience as the water level was very low. There are better Cenotes which we had explored the next day : Aktun Chen. Last stop was a beautiful city mainly for nice pics and some quick shopping. Overall a good experience if you are looking for Chichen Itza as the main attraction.

This tour was incredible! Our tour guide Juam was extremely knowledgeable and provided great insight at the moment which is difficult to find online. The cenote swim was the perfect refresher after the visit to Chichen Itza. The tequila tasting is devine and is tequilas made by a small family business. I highly recommend doing the tour in this order because by the time we were leaving Chichen Itza it was getting very hot and crowded.

Our tour with Amigo Tours was absolutely amazing! Our guide, Frank, was funny and incredible, making the entire experience both entertaining and engaging. He explained the story of Mayan culture in a very knowledgeable and insightful manner, which made everything so much more meaningful. Kudos as well to the driver for a safe and smooth ride, and to the other guide whos was equally helpful and professional throughout the tour. It was truly an unforgettable experience with Amigo Tours. Highly recommended!

Guide: in my experience, we have 2 guides on board. one speaks english and the other one spanish. Alberto is very good in explaining everything in English. itinerary: we wasted a lot of time at chichikan. it took so much time explaining about the rituals. they will not give you the band for cenote/lunch until it finishes. the reason why valladolid stop is only for 30mins.
