Makkha Health and Spa Experience at Ancient House in Chiang Mai

I was extremely satisfied with my visit to Makkha Health & Spa Old Town Chiang Mai for a massage, and I'm very grateful for the dedication of the establishment and the massage therapist. The environment felt relaxing as soon as I walked in, with a charming old-house ambiance. The entire place was clean, quiet, and comfortable, and the staff were all friendly and polite. The massage therapist's technique was very professional, and the pressure was just right. I never felt awkward or uncomfortable during the session, and it truly helped release the fatigue accumulated during my travels. After the massage, my body felt much lighter, and my mind was significantly more relaxed. I highly recommend this place. Not only was the massage comfortable, but the overall experience, the atmosphere, and the attention to service details were all excellent. It's definitely worth scheduling a visit when you're in Chiang Mai; it's the kind of place that makes you want to return! I'm very thankful for this service; it truly left me with wonderful memories.

If the reservation is full, you can book a hotel shuttle bus. I booked the bus on IG after purchasing the treatment on KLOOK. The massage parlor is located in a quiet area, with antique decoration and clean facilities. It is also very comfortable to hear the birds singing outside the window in the independent room. The masseur has no problem communicating in English, hot stone and foot massage are highly recommended! What makes people smile is that the design of the welcome flower pot will be updated, full of atmosphere!

First, let me describe the ambiance. The wooden architecture combined with dim lighting creates an incredibly relaxing atmosphere from the moment you step inside. The staff immediately offers welcome snacks, drinks, and a cold towel, which is a lifesaver in the summer. The Thai herbal ball massage was absolutely perfect. They start with a traditional Thai massage (my friend said he fell asleep two minutes into it), followed by warm herbal balls pressed onto the body. I remember the herbal balls starting from my feet, and then I drifted off to sleep. I highly recommend this to anyone who needs to relax and get a good night's sleep. By the way, this place is very popular, so it's definitely recommended to book in advance!

Our appointment time arrived, but we had to wait almost 20 minutes to be seen. Since I had two young children with me, I was quite concerned about the discrepancy between the scheduled and actual times; I don't like this feeling of unpunctuality. However, the staff did something great later on: while I was getting my massage, they noticed that my two children outside might be cold, which was a pleasant surprise.

We opted for two types of massages: one was a Thai massage with herbal balls, and the other was an Indian head massage. For the Indian head massage, warm oil is poured onto your head, and then your entire head is massaged. It was so relaxing that I fell asleep; I only remember how pleasant the warm oil felt and how wonderful the head massage was. After the massage, you can shower and wash your hair, so there's no need to worry about leaving with oily hair. On a side note, the ambiance here is excellent, and it was definitely money well spent.

I went to Makkha around 3-4 times for my 2 week stay in Chiangmai and I have no complaints for any of the visits. All the visits were pleasant and the food service before and after the massage was very nice.

love the massage here. the overall environment is relax, clean. I can enjoy the session without feeling rushed. masseur is attentive (mostly) i have visited other places but still feel like this is my favourite. happy to return. the mango sticky rice is superb (as not seen in pic) tummy happy good.

Good and professional service! There are no price advantages on Klook, but it's convenient to book with the app. It's a pity that the time slot cannot be changed within 24 hours before the reservation, but you can book 4 hours before, so don't book too early...

Had a wonderful experience at the spa! The ambiance was relaxing, staff were professional, and the massage was excellent. Everything was clean and well-organized. Highly recommend for a rejuvenating break!
