It was raining heavily in the morning, but we were able to enter the facility. It's reassuring to have an umbrella when visiting the butterfly area. Inside, there are many indoor insect exhibits, so you can enjoy yourself even if it's raining. We spent a leisurely three hours exploring. There's also a restaurant, and the pasta and Malay dishes were delicious. There weren't any drinks available for children, so I recommend bringing your own beverages. There were no vending machines inside the facility. My child was thrilled to see and touch both taxidermied and live insects. The rain stopped partway through, and we were able to enjoy the butterflies in the butterfly garden. If it's raining, the butterflies tend to rest, so I recommend visiting the indoor exhibits first. The Entopia original T-shirt was cute, so I bought it as a souvenir. We had a wonderful time. Experience: Excellent
Beautifully curated, modern and well kept exhibitions, Entopia is unique and definitely a fresh experience compared to old traditional butterfly park museum. There's even a pretty neat cafe as well to sit and recharge with food and drinks reasonably priced. My family was so impressed and by the time we step out of the place, we learnt to appreciate not only butterflies but the insect kingdom so much more than before. Staff are informative and friendly. This is definitely a must to visit attraction if you're in Batu Ferringhi!
The place is amazing and offers a wonderful opportunity for kids to explore a variety of plants and butterfly species. Children can witness the release of newly emerged butterflies at 11:00 a.m. and learn about their life cycle firsthand. The indoor exhibition showcases many fascinating insects and their habitats, while the outdoor area is well-shaded, making it comfortable to explore even during the day. There is also a beautiful koi pond and water features that help keep the surroundings cool and pleasant. Be sure to check the activity schedule in advance so you don't miss any of the special experiences. The staff are friendly and will often invite visitors to join the activities. I spent about three enjoyable hours here. There is also a restaurant and covered parking area available within the butterfly farm, which is very convenient for visitors.
A charming place for both adults and children alike! The farm is very well maintained and hosts not just butterflies but other amphibians, insects, and reptiles as well. The butterfly releasing and silk spinning activities were very enjoyable and informative. There’s a restaurant called Tapestree if you want to take a break or grab a bite to eat. 4 hours here was not enough! Would definitely love to come back again to explore more of the farm 🦋
It is a must-visit for nature lovers. The park is beautifully designed, featuring a vast, lush environment where butterflies freely flutter around. Beyond butterflies, it houses various insects, reptiles, and interactive exhibits that educate visitors on nature’s wonders. The indoor Discovery Centre is engaging, especially for kids. The well-maintained space and friendly staff enhance the experience. While tickets can be pricey, the immersive atmosphere makes it worthwhile. Overall, it’s a fantastic blend of education and relaxation, perfect for families and nature enthusiasts.
I've only been there at night, but I assume the experience involved walking through the same areas as one would during the day. It was easy to walk, but being nighttime made it exciting. There are various explanations in English. Staff members explain things at different points, and there's an attraction where they illuminate animals with UV light. The kids were thrilled with the UV-glowing tattoo stamps. Kids are so simple! On the way back from Entopia, the bus to the nearby bus stop never arrived. Someone nearby told me that the bus wouldn't come close, so I followed them and ended up walking quite a distance, about 15 minutes, to a bus stop past the roundabout. Be careful, as the route shown on Google Maps won't get you back. You should take a Grab, but it was hard to find one. Ultimately, considering the kids didn't get to bed until 11 PM, I think it would have been better to go during the day.
Absolutely stunning experience! Entopia Butterfly Farm in Penang is a paradise filled with vibrant butterflies, lush greenery, and educational displays. The indoor gardens are beautifully maintained, offering a peaceful and immersive escape into nature. The staff are friendly and informative, making the visit enjoyable for both adults and kids. A perfect blend of beauty, learning, and serenity — it’s easily one of Penang’s must-visit attractions. Highly recommend spending a few hours here to truly appreciate the magic of nature.
Had a fun yet tiring day at Entopia. It wasn’t as crowded as I expected, and there was plenty of parking available. The place is huge with a free-roaming layout, and the butterfly interactions were lovely and enjoyable. The experience was very informative, with not just butterflies but also other insects, frogs, iguanas, and more. The flow and structure of the building are well planned, making it easy to navigate. As an adult, I felt a bit overloaded with information and quite exhausted by the end. My 6-year-old niece, however, absolutely loved the butterfly interactions, while my mom found the walking tiring — thankfully, there are plenty of benches around for resting. Overall, a great experience for families and nature lovers, especially with young children.
