Taste Restaurant at Ibis Singapore on Bencoolen

2nd time here. The ambience and furnishing are not the main draw. There’s no cushion on chairs and there’s nothing instagrammable. The food offerings are same as before. But the service, esp from Vicky, is top notch. She makes you feel super welcome. I would come again to support her.

Purchase of Klook voucher was hassle free. We went to Ibis on Bencoolen (Taste Restaurant) on a Thursday afternoon. Called prior to reserve a table. In the call I briefly mentioned that it's for a friend's birthday. I'm amazed that it was caught on although the call was brief and short. We were greeted warmly by Shah, place was not crowded and we got to choose our preferred seats. High ceilings, clean environment and warm lighting. Very cosy. ** Compliments to Shah as he signalled me while he arrives to our table with the Hi-Tea set, to light up the candle. This allows me to capture the reaction of the birthday boy. He also came to the table to ask how was everything. The Hi-Tea set was great and filling for 2 pax. Lots of different things to try. Laksa in a glass jar was cute and delicious. Satay was soo good I wished theres more hehe. The carrot cake was amazing paired with the sambal. Pastries and desserts were nice too. 4 drinks for order, which was adequate. ** Compliments as on the latter part, we were served by Vicky. Whom was jovial and full of life. She saw my first cup of cappuccino had finished. Then asked for my next drink order. Vicky was courteous and sweet to offer me a bigger cup for my coffee Latte. Her calling me "darling" as she served the drink was soo endearing hehehe. Also, we ordered only a total of 3 drinks only. Vicky then offers if we wanted a drink to go /tapau. Which we happily declined as our tummies are already satisfied. ** Compliments to another matured server too as she always checked up on us to refill hot/cold water. Overall we had a pleasant experience for our first Hi-Tea ever. Friends online were intrigued and asked for the location/info too. Thank you for having us! :)

A short distance walk from Bencoolen MRT. from Exit A turn right and walk all the way down. restaurant is right in front of a bus stop. I've called to reserve before going. only 2 tables were occupied as it's a Monday. Good Food. 4 cups of hot tea / coffee. relaxing ambience. a nice afternoon tea we had. Will visit again for sure. good service too 👍

A very good spread of food for high tea. Really value for money. Impeccable service too. The restaurant is certainly a hidden gem and really worth visiting. Highly recommended.

Great experience. we did not reserve and went early but the staff are very accomadating. Food taste great. Recommend carrot cake, burger, puff, chocolate cake. Scone taste average and sandwich are super soft but slightly salty.

I bought this voucher to reward my helper who has stayed with me for the past 6 years. Initially, I was worried that there would be discrimination in the restaurant when she dine in for the high tea. I was so wrong, she was full of smiles when she came back, telling me how approachable the staff were and how they kept going to her to ask if the food is good and if she needs any other help. The staff called me up for the redemption of the voucher and even kept assuring me that my helper is enjoying herself and having a great time! Kudos to the staff in Taste Restaurant! Keep up the good work!

Very worth it and service stuff it’s very good. Just that parking is very troublesome cause it’s a covid facility and dangerous since have to go next door. If got promotion will go again. Support!!!! Go go go go

Value for money high-tea and voucher can be used on a weekend. Went on a Sunday afternoon and it was not crowded at all. Staff service is Excellent; 10/10. We sat there to enjoy the food and drinks for 3 hours and there was no sign of the restaurant being anxious to chase us out. Great place to have high-tea atva relaxing pace and have a good catch up time with friends. Highly recommended!
