Timba-Timba, Mataking and Pom Pom Island Discover Scuba Diving in Semporna

It was 2/4/2025 which is 3rd day Hari Raya. We are enjoyed with the superb and excellent guides by Instructors. Tq Max, Jamie, Cikgu, Zul, Suhaimi and Ni Hau🤭Tq for your support towards me..an aunty who afraid of the water. 1st attempt was failed BUT 2nd diving..i managed to do it and take a family picture. Rezeki for us to see the group of dolphins. Tq again from us Fatin Uden Aunty Zila n Uncle Jam. Unforgetable memories for our family. Highly recommended!!❤️

We were a little impatient at first because we were delayed by an hour in the morning, but when it came time to dive, our coaches Jon and Jamie and our Chinese guide MAX were very patient when they took us diving. They were always concerned about our physical condition and encouraged us even if we were afraid to go into the water. Newbies should try it. When diving, just remember the three tips taught by the coach and you will have a smooth dive. Although the weather was bad this time with strong winds and heavy rain, the coaches and guides made us have a great time. It is a trip worth joining 👍👍👍

It was a wonderful experience and we had a such a great time. For people who don't speak the local language, Jon and Max should be your go to people. They are really great guides and will help you understand everything smoothly and calmy. Other crew members were really sweet and friendly! would surely recommend people to go ahead with this package. worth every penny ;)

We die our first ever scuba dive here. Jeffrey, Jack and Jason were very kind and made our day. They gave us a feeling of safety wich was nice! We also saw a lot of fish and some seaturtles! In between the dives you also have time to relax and see the beautiful beaches.

It was a really fullfing tour. My first ever diving experience, and I have to say that it was really safe, and I absolutely enjoyed myself. The guide was very professional and guided us very well for the dive. The boat ride to Timba Timba island from the public jetty takes about 30-45 minutes. Be prepared for long boat rides. We dived at Mataking and Timba Timba Island. Each dive was about 5-10 minutes, which is quite short, but good enough to see the ocean wildlife. There were a total of about 12 of us on board so the guide had to rotate, taking at most 2 to dive at one time. The lunch was quite meh. Barely enough to keep youself full, but you can buy cup noodles on Mataking Island. Also, the Sea Gypsies will approach you in the island hoping to sell coconuts. They are generally friendly. I paid 50 myr for them to take videos and pictures of myself diving. I would say it's worth it considering there was no limit to the pics! Advice for travalers: - Bring a lot of sun block as it can get very very hot and sunny. - Do not panic during the dive, keep calm and follow the guide's instructions - Be sure to equalize ear pressure constantly when descending and ascending in the dive. Sound out if you do not feel comfortable. - Be prepared for long boat rides. Bring seasick medicine if you have a tendency to have motion sickness.

It was my first time to experience scuba diving. Thanks to the instructor Max Yeung for his careful and clear instructions. Another staff member in the water assisted with photography. We spent 10 minutes each at Timba Timba and Mataking Island. The whole process was safe and reliable. The pier was covered with dark clouds when we set out, but fortunately the weather gradually cleared up as we got closer to the island, and the scenery along the way was beautiful. Taking photos on Timba Timba Island, the blue sky, small island, sunshine and clear sea water are very beautiful and healing. Please remember to apply more sunscreen! On the return trip, we docked at Dragon Inn Pier and Jeti Pelacong Pier respectively, which was very convenient.

The weather was great and I was so happy! The diving instructor was very responsible and it was safe to take my parents in their 50s. He also helped me rent diving goggles that I needed on the day. The 50-pound video service was worth it. The photographer was always guiding the movements. I took a lot of photos and videos. I also encountered a blue mackerel storm. I received a lot of photos and videos when I went back at night!

I contacted the dive shop the day before departure and told me that the meeting place and time would be different from the time on Klook. After checking in, you have to write down your diving information and then set off for diving.

It was my first time to experience deep diving. I saw two sea turtles. The sea turtles were so cute. I also saw many fish, some big and some small. The staff is friendly and will play with you, and the atmosphere is great.
