Ambience is ideal for a chill Saturday hang out with spacious area, plenty of tables and even outside dining area surrounded by plants. Food wise - satisfying nasi lemak with succulent ayam berempah, brothy curry mee, a little disappointed with the malaysian breakfast as the portion was small for the price. Staff were friendly (cashier wasn't too cheerful - maybe she was having a rough day, bless her). Good place to bring the fam bam. Oh, toasts and pancakes were magnificent desserts.
Had nasi lemak, a local cuisine with coconut rice, anchovies, sambal, chicken rendang. Delicious, good portion and nicely presented. Very friendly service. Great coffee. Wide selection of both local and western fares. Outdoor and indoor seatings. Close to hartamas shopping center. I’ll be back
The Classic Char Kuey Teow (RM20) was much more satisfying. Even though I got the basic “classic” version, there were three big prawns in the mix, along with lots of fish cake slices. The noodles didn’t have any char, but they were nice and chewy, not gummy and broken apart. The serving size is small for RM20, and I was only full after eating about half of the french fries that we also ordered.
Ordered from the counter, not from the menu. Plenty of choices to choose from. Love their vegetables and the beef rendang. The service is good. It is a laid back setting, with an artistic style. Date of visit: 27 Feb 2024
Kanteen Restaurant offers an indulgent foray into contemporary dining, delivering a feast for both the eyes and the palate. From the pictures provided, the experience starts with a slice of decadently layered cake, its moist texture intermingled with a rich coffee flavor, topped with a generous sprinkle of crunchy, caramelized nuts that promise a delightful contrast in every bite. The beverage selection is as creative as it is refreshing. A tall glass of wApple AsamBoi is what i chose. The mains steal the show with their vibrant presentation and promise of bold flavors. One dish presents a heaping serving of corn cob, shrimp, and what seems to be a spicy glaze, garnished with spring onions and bonito flakes—a symphony of textures and taste. Another dish showcases a hearty twirl of pesto pasta, generously coated with a rich, herby sauce and dotted with succulent pieces of meat, sprinkled with parmesan and chili flakes for an added kick. Each dish at Kanteen Restaurant is more than just a meal; it's an artful expression of culinary expertise. The atmosphere, as captured in the background, exudes a casual yet sophisticated vibe, making it an excellent spot for a leisurely lunch or a special dinner. If the images are anything to go by, Kanteen is a place where every dish is crafted with care, ensuring a dining experience that tantalizes the senses and leaves you eagerly anticipating the next visit.
waffle is must to order I would say.. the milk tea ice not so sweet need to ask for additional condensed milk.. but service are good environment are great to hang out too.. limited parking is a minus point
Cosy and green. Not a big space. Food are mix western and local. Lots of kids meal option. Recommended!!!!
we ordered a few dishes and my favorite was Nasi Lemak. It was really good.
Back again for a second time as the food is really good. Highly recommend their waffles as it’s their specialty. For mains chicken chop and the pizza is not bad as well. Cakes are unfortunately not in house made and store bought but other than that everything is perfect.
Very berry smoothies , mushroom soup and goda2 salad were very good however I don’t recommend to order big breakfast, it is so so. The atmosphere was good and I prefer outdoor since indoor was too noisy. I will definitely come again.
