Driver was on time and explain the tulou structures and also took good photos of us.
This itinerary involves a lot of driving, with round-trip travel taking about 6-7 hours, and only about 2 hours actually spent at the attractions. However, the 'King of Tulou' is truly unique and well-preserved, making it a worthwhile trip.
Expecting an early pickup due travel distance to attraction. Prior to visiting attraction, a simple Lunch was included with package. They would also try to promote their Tea Leaves varieties.
Everything was good enough even though the tour course was changed a little bit due to rain. We traveled comfortably for a round trip of 4-5 hours on a premium bus with a 2+1 seating arrangement. The guide spoke a little English and actively used a translator, so communication was easy. Best value for money👍👍👍
unfortunately the guided tour was only available in Chinese, which caused a few problems but we had a good day and made some new friends
The tour guide clearly explained the itinerary, and the schedule allowed for plenty of time. On the return trip, the guide thoughtfully arranged drop-offs according to the group's needs. It was a great experience.
The day trip to Nanjing Yunshuiyao and Yongding Gaobei Tulou from Xiamen was an average experience overall. The attractions were unique, but the journey was long, and the tour guide was only present when we were viewing the Tulou. Furthermore, the driver seemed unfamiliar with the roads within Xiamen city, driving around in circles when picking up other tour members at the start, which wasted valuable morning time.
The car provided for 8 people was very small, cramped, and the air conditioning wasn't effective, but the driver was very skilled. After arriving at the scenic spot, the tour guide assigned, despite being a local resident, didn't really provide much of a tour. Everything they explained I had already seen online. Lunch was not included, but they took everyone to a very expensive and mediocre restaurant for a meal, which felt like being ripped off. It would have been better to let everyone eat on their own at the scenic spot.
