One-Day Tour from Xiamen to Nanjing Yunshuiyao & Yongding Gaobei Tulou Cluster (Explore World Cultural Heritage)

I had a wonderful experience with the assigned tour guide 小胡 during my trip to 土楼. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and very attentive to the group’s needs. I met like minded friends from HKG in my group. The itinerary was well-paced, and we never felt rushed. I really appreciate the insightful explanations about local culture and history, as well as the thoughtful recommendations for food and photo and massage spots. Thank you for making my trip smooth, enjoyable, and memorable. Highly recommended!

I chose a small group tour for fewer than 8 people, and since the guide was Chinese-speaking, the travel agency contacted me beforehand to confirm if a Chinese-speaking driver and guide would be acceptable. Although I'm not fluent in Chinese, I can manage basic communication, and I chose this package because it allowed me to travel comfortably to the Tulou on my own. The result was a satisfying trip. Driver Yang contacted me the day before to confirm the pickup location and time, arrived punctually on the day of the tour, drove skillfully, and provided introductions to various places in Xiamen, making it an enjoyable journey. Different guides were waiting at each Tulou to provide explanations, and while they explained things in detail, I apologize that I could only understand about half of it. The tour finished within the scheduled time, which was great for planning activities afterward.

modern clean bus, pseudo shopping stop at the first tulou stop (local guide was selling tobacco and tea while we waited for the photos to be processed) the tulous were amazing, last stop’s scenic area with water wheel was a bit lacklustre. lunch was communal, dishes tasty. mostly local chinese on the tour.

I’m truly grateful to have met such a friendly and caring driver. He always made sure we were safe, kept us updated on locations and timing, and gave thoughtful introductions at every stop, which meant a lot, especially when I was traveling alone. He also recommended great tourist spots and restaurants with reasonable prices and delicious food. We were also fortunate to have a supportive and encouraging tour guide, who shared detailed historical insights and went above and beyond by helping every tourist take individual photos at each spot. I felt totally spoiled by her, no need for a photographer at all on this trip! Overall, I’m thankful for how well everything was planned and would highly recommend this trip to anyone considering it.

Excellent experience! Local guide was young and energetic and took care of the elderly who were in the group. Great explanation on the 土楼 and history. Value for money as food provided was nice and also the coach bus was clean and comfortable.

On Wednesday, September 10, 2022, I participated in a tour from Xiamen to the Yongding Tulou King and the Nanjing Yunshuiyao Tulou area, and I was very satisfied. Our tour guide, Mr. Zhang Hui, informed us of the itinerary and precautions the night before, answered questions promptly, and clearly and professionally explained everything from picking up guests to explaining various matters throughout the day. He always smiled and calmly answered guests' questions, making it easy and comfortable to enjoy the trip. The meals had local characteristics and allowed tourists from different regions to experience the rare Hakka flavors as much as possible. In short, this was a pleasant trip for both my mother and me. Thank you, Xiao Zhang, for your enthusiasm and professionalism, and thank you to the driver for the safe driving. Travel and food are hobbies for many people, and everyone has different feelings. For today's trip, Mr. Zhang was our driver. He was very sociable and easily struck up conversations with everyone. Despite having to pick each of us up from different locations, he remained patient throughout. The traffic was extremely heavy during peak hours, but he kept us updated on his arrival time. Although we reached our destination later than expected, he ensured we arrived safely. At each stop, he carefully handed us over to the local guides. During lunch, he even brought us his highly recommended local delicacies to try. After the tour, when we were all exhausted, he went above and beyond by driving us back to our preferred locations—even though it was past his working hours. He also made sure all the ladies in the group were safely escorted back. His dedication and kindness truly made our trip more enjoyable.

Everything went very smooth. Only lunch was delayed to 12.40 due to some tea selling (not hard sales). For sigthseeing places, turned out Yongding Tulou is more interesting than Yunshuiyao. Also, I could only understand some Chinese but so lucky to have Singaporean family joined same trip and help for some translator.

Driver is on time, the car is clean. Local guide is provided on site destination to explain and bring you around.

I was quite excited for my first visit to a World Heritage Site on June 17th. Our tour guide that day was A-Jian. Unfortunately, the weather didn't cooperate, and it rained all day. Despite this, our guide was very patient, picking up and dropping off every traveler, and meticulously explained the history with a touch of humor, which kept the trip from feeling dull.
