Reviews
Hokkaido's winter is truly stunning! The night illumination at the Blue Pond is breathtaking, and the blue light and shadows make the entire lake surface look mysterious and serene. The Ningle Terrace is like a fairytale village hidden in the forest, with each cabin having its own unique charm and making for amazing photos. The Biei Christmas Tree is also definitely worth a visit, especially with the snowy scenery that gives it a true Christmas feel. Being able to take in so many beautiful sights in a single trip made for a ten-out-of-ten experience!
This one-day tour of Hokkaido was truly worth it! The scenery at the Blue Pond after the lights are turned on is especially magical; the blue lights reflecting off the woods make it feel like you've stepped into a fairy tale world. The log cabins at Ningle Terrace are full of a Christmas atmosphere, and the warm lighting is particularly romantic. Finally, seeing the Biei Christmas Tree—though it's just a simple tree—held a unique Hokkaido winter charm. The scenery all the way was beautiful, highly recommended!
I booked the Hokkaido Illumination Day Tour in advance. The meeting point at Odori Park Subway Station was very easy to find, and the bus was waiting on time. The pace of the itinerary was just right—not too rushed. The illumination at the Shirogane Blue Pond was the biggest surprise of the trip; the snow against the lights felt like stepping into a fairytale world. The Ningle Terrace had an incredible evening atmosphere, and I couldn't stop taking pictures. The tour guide explained the attraction backup rules in advance and clearly outlined contingency plans for weather changes. There were no hidden fees throughout the entire trip. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to experience Hokkaido's night scenery!
Highly recommended for anyone who wants to see Hokkaido's winter night views! The day trip departs from Sapporo, allowing you to enjoy the snowy northern landscape during the day, visit the illuminated Shirahige Waterfall in the evening, and explore the Ningle Terrace at night. The time allocated for each attraction is reasonable, so you won't feel rushed just taking quick photos. There are no shopping stops at all, focusing purely on the experience, and the tour guide is gentle and attentive, providing a truly wonderful experience.
The itinerary is well-planned, offering a relaxing one-hour free time at the farm during the day to take photos and ride snowmobiles at leisure. Heading to the Shirogane Blue Pond in the late afternoon, the illuminated night scenery is simply indescribable. There was plenty of time allocated for the Ningle Terrace, allowing us to take pictures and browse the little shops at our own pace. We had a wonderful time and returned to Sapporo at a reasonable hour.
