Reviews
Great way to spend an afternoon. Was lucky that this turned out to a private tour as there wasn’t anyone else which was a plus. Got to learn about the Raffles’ history and Nazir who led the tour was a delight! Satay at the end was so so but appreciated the snack.
The tour was very educational, a lot of interesting facts about Singapore’s cultural icons and national symbols, how they came to be. Rosli, the inhouse historian was so knowledgeable and gracious host. Worth it and satay was also good. Definitely will recommend.
Our family had the absolute pleasure of taking the heritage tour at Raffles Hotel Singapore, and it proved to be one of the highlights of our visit! The entire experience was seamless from the start. A special thanks to Mila Osman, who was wonderfully helpful in facilitating the rescheduling of our bookings so that our whole family could attend the tour together in the same session. Her efficient and thoughtful coordination made all the difference! A huge, heartfelt thank you as well to our guide, Resident Historian Mr. Roslee Sukar, who made the tour itself truly exceptional. He was incredibly engaging with our entire family, patient with our questions, and made sure everyone had a memorable time. If you are visiting Raffles Hotel Singapore, this heritage tour is a must-do—and if you have the opportunity to experience it with Mr. Roslee and the outstanding hospitality team, you are in for a world-class experience! Highly recommended!
It was an eye opener, knowing more in depth about Raffles Hotel's history. Interesting and loving it how the tour was conducted by an experienced resident historian 💕
Lovely experience learning about the history of Raffles Hotel. The guide was very friendly and knowledgeable.
I truly enjoyed the tour follow by a nice satay n drink ( part of the package) at the courtyard. The Resident Historian was superb in providing lots of hotel histories, also visited the Long Bar and their hotel room. It’s a good tour for both local and tourist.
Nazaimoddin resident historian gave an interesting history of Raffles Hotel (RH) starting from the late 19th century to the present time. RH’s history is so rich that I really learned a lot during my tour. it’s a grand beautiful hotel with its serene & well-manicured gardens & coutyard etc. The whole place is so spotlessly clean & well maintained. The staff are all friendly, polite & helpful. RH is is a 6 star hotel & a Singapore’s gem. Thank you RH for enabling me to visit the place. It’s is really worth my time to know the hotel’s history & the opportunity to stroll around the place.
I initially thought the price was a bit high, but considering it included a kaya jam souvenir, a signature drink on the terrace, and satay, I felt it was a great value.
Tour starts from the Raffles hotel gift shop to walk around the hotel itself. The tour is detailed, at a comfortable pace and history unfolds with a professional resident historian bringing us around. Enjoyable 😊
The talk was 45 minutes long and we were standing for all that time which was in my opinion too long especially if there was an older person. However the guide was very knowledgeable and one could see he was proud to be working at Raffles
