Reviews
Pros: - patient, enthusiastic, informative, and hardworking tour guide - comfortable van with AC - timely pick up and drop off from our hotel - tour felt like the perfect length, not too long or short - 3 stops which are all so beautiful on their own - food is provided by the tour to offer to the monks Cons: - if you’re prone to motion sickness, take meds beforehand!
Well organized and a A lot better than I anticipated. The first older temple you go to before you head up the mountain was worth the trip alone, but the main attraction was one of the best temples I’ve seen!
Trip was amazing. The guide Tom was very knowlegable, attentive and well spoken. We were greeted by the amazing views in and around the temples of Chiang Mai.
Such a nice experience and there were not much people during the early morning. Tour guide Mr. Pan was great and is very knowledgeable of plants and insects too
The guide was friendly and the car was a van, which was nice. Still, I took motion sickness medication beforehand. They explained things well in English. Please note that our accommodation is closer to Doi Suthep in Nimman Haemin, so the pick-up was at 5:10, but the pick-up started from then on, so several teams came to our accommodation at the end and picked up at 5:40. I went to Doi Suthep late on a Monday and there were no people, so it was nice to see it. But I don't know if it was because it was Monday or because it was late, but I heard that the stairs were pretty, so I deliberately took the stairs instead of taking the cable car. It was a bit disappointing that the lights were off, but the stairs were still nice. If you do not have health problems, we recommend the stairs rather than the cable car. I feel like the cable car is a bit of a waste of money. Everyone took the cable car, came up, looked at the stairs, and thought, ‘Huh? 'Is this all the stairs?' After doing this, we all went down the stairs. Of course, for the health of our knees, it is better to walk when going up and take the cable car when coming down. I highly recommend going to Doi Suthep on a tour.
Even though there were only the two of us on the tour, it felt very rushed. I felt that the guide wasn’t really informative. He was quite repetitive about the information shared. The major plus point was the view of the sunrise.
Informative and the guide communicates well and answers any question even if not related to the tour.
The guide was very kind and gave a good impression. The cave temple seems to be perfect for stopping by on the way, but it was a pity that I moved without taking time to take pictures. I looked around after a brief explanation at Doi Suthep, but after it got completely dark, the temple lights turned on and the view of Chiang Mai was so pretty, but it was a pity that I couldn't see enough because of the time I had to go down. If I have a chance, I personally want to go again at night.
A fantastic trip, the flowers of the Miao ethnic cultural village, the flourishing incense of the Phra Temple for wishes and blessings, the serene exploration of the Phra Temple, and the pleasantness of the Huai Kio Waterfall are all worth visiting and exploring.
Pick up and drop off at hotel on time. Our team consists of four people. The trip went smoothly. The tour guide prepared supplies for the monks and filmed the process for us. He also has a wealth of knowledge about nature and will introduce different plants and animals along the way.
