Option A: World Heritage Site - Nikko Toshogu Shrine & Lake Chuzenji & Kegon Falls & Nikko Onsen Experience 07:15 Meet at FamilyMart Ikebukuro Midori Avenue Store, a 5-minute walk from Exit 35 of Ikebukuro Station. 07:30 Prompt departure.
[Nikko Toshogu Shrine] (Approx. 90 minutes) Visit the lavish shrine dedicated to Tokugawa Ieyasu, and admire the exquisite carvings and historical culture.
[Nikko Souvenir Street] (Approx. 30 minutes) Free time to purchase Nikko specialties and souvenirs.
[Lake Chuzenji] (Approx. 15 minutes) Enjoy the scenery of the lake and mountains, and feel the tranquility and coolness of the lake surface.
[Kegon Falls] (Approx. 60-90 minutes) See the magnificent scenery of one of Japan’s three famous waterfalls and feel the impact of nature. Enjoy a local lunch at your own expense.
17:30 Return to Ikebukuro and disband at FamilyMart Ikebukuro Midori Avenue Store (Arrival approx. 17:30-19:00).

Our guide Carl was extremely talented and could speak many languages. we struggled a little finding the meeting point but got there in the end and on time. the bus was comfortable and the driver was also lovely. we saw some veautiful sights and the scenery was stunning. I recommend buying a ticket to go down to the bottom of Kegon Falls. the stairs at the temple were hard going but Carl ensured we saw everything of interest.
The scenery is beautiful, the route is arranged reasonably, the tour guide Ma Sang is very good, professional and kind. The Toshogu Shrine has painted buildings and carved beams, which is worth seeing
The one-day tour in Nikko was very enjoyable. I saw the beautiful scenery and also happened to encounter the annual "Warrior Procession" ~ The guide Ma was very enthusiastic and professional. Worth recommending ~
Overall, I think it was great to participate. I was able to go to all the places I wanted to go. The time arrangement was also very good and the price was reasonable.
We returned to Ikebukuro one hour shorter than the scheduled itinerary. We only took photos at the two scenic spots and got on the bus. We didn't visit the shopping street at all. The meal and the waterfall took less than an hour. The bathing was temporarily changed to a very small bathing area. The experience was very bad. It was very crowded and there was only one hair dryer. I have never participated in such a bad one-day tour
Really enjoyed Mr. Ma's leadership, he's very nice. The whole tour was very smooth, and it was also very interesting chatting with Mr. Ma! Regarding transportation, the driver was great and very stable!

Very disappointed in this tour. The tour guide did not give any history of the area or any information once we arrived. It was a self guided tour and everything we did was free. Not sure what we paid for besides gas for the bus. The bus was extremely small!
We had four stops. First stop at the shrine which was OK. Not much information by the guide but you rent the audio guide. Second stop is Waterfall observation and lunch which was just OK. Note you don't get close to the waterfall. Third stop was really a joke. I thought we will stop by the lake to enjoy our time but it was only 10 minutes just to take a photo from a view point. Last stop was the thermal springs which I didn't do because I didn't want to naked in front of others. I was told by the guide he will show me a hiking trail which didn't happen. I tried by myself but I couldn't find anything so I waited at the bus because the guide went in the thermal spring. Bottom line. This trip can be done by public transport for less money but you need to navigate Tokyo transport system. I would do it and stay over night by the lake. I don't travel just for the photo
