Forbidden city group tour with Option Tian'anmen Square add on

We had an excellent experience yesterday visiting the Forbidden City and Jingshan Park with our guide, Jay. From start to finish, the tour was well-managed and highly informative. Jay’s professionalism was evident before the tour even began; he reached out a day in advance with a detailed message and clear instructions, making the meeting process seamless. At the start of the day, one of our group members encountered a small logistical hiccup, which Jay handled quickly and calmly, ensuring we could proceed without delay. Throughout the tour, Jay demonstrated deep knowledge of the Forbidden City’s history, guiding us through the main areas and answering all our questions with ease. The pacing was perfect, with thoughtful breaks for coffee and rest, making the extensive walking very manageable. Jay is friendly, easygoing, and even provided a fantastic recommendation for a renowned Peking Duck restaurant. I highly recommend booking with him for a memorable and stress-free visit!

Really enjoyed the whole tour experience, as our guide Allen was super cheerful despite us having to go through the tour on one of the hotter days in Beijing. Gotten really nice pictures and recommendations in the Forbidden City as well. Side note, please come well prepared with good walking shoes, sunscreen, cap/umbrella if you’re intending to do this tour during summer months as you’d spend at least 30 minutes going through the security check under the sun.

We had an amazing tour offered by the amazing Mike who provided us with a lot of information and fun facts about the sites we visited. The forbidden city is extraordinary and there are so many nice spots to relax and take pictures. It gets pretty hot in the summer so bring a water flask and something to provide shade/protect you from the sun. Entry is way easier with a tour as you do not have to figure anything out for yourself and your tour guide will be more than happy to help you with information and directions even after the tour. Great way to start off a holiday in Beijing.

I have Peter as my tour guide to take me around the forbidden city. The whole tour was very well paced, small group size and professional guided by Peter, with a good balance of walking and learning about the history of forbidden city. He was very engaging and knowledgable. The best highlight is the beautiful scenery at Jingshan park after the walk up. thank you, Peter, look forward to booking him again for my future trip.

Mr Jimmy (27/03/2026) was a fun and educational guide for Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City. He gave excellent instructions on how to reach the meeting point which our group of 3 greatly appreciated and he shared good information about the history of both locations. His knowledge and details about the Forbidden City impressed me especially. He was able to manage the diverse rage in the tour group (from children to elderly) and tour was set at a good pace. He was also able to answer all the many questions posed to him. Thank you Mr Jimmy for an educational experience! I would recommend Mr Jimmy!

Vivian was a fantastic guide and was highly knowledgeable about the history of Tian’anmen Square and the Forbidden City. She texted us the night before for a confirmation of the tour, with detailed explanation of the meeting point and what to expect. Thankfully the queue into Tian’anmen Square as well as Forbidden City was not too long during our tour timing (~1hr) and we managed to cover a lot of ground! Do expect to walk a lot during the tour and wear comfortable walking shoes + sunglasses. Thank you Vivian for helping us to take many lovely photographs as well!

Jay was an excellen tour guide. He was very engaging and gave us very interesting fun facts about the history of China. He paced the tour well that we weren’t so tired and took us to great less crowded spots of each stop point so we could take good pictures. I highly recommend Jay as tour guide.

I’m so happy I joined this tour. We were assigned Maria as our guide, and her explanations at each location were clear, informative, and engaging. My group consisted mostly of foreigners, and she communicated in excellent English, making it easy for everyone to follow along. Everyone in the group left happy and filled with knowledge. As part of the tour, we were also able to skip some queues and go straight into Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City, which saved us a lot of time. Overall, it was a very enjoyable and worthwhile experience.

The tour was very well organised and our guide Anson made it more interesting for us. He is so knowledgeable, gave us a lot of information and super accommodating to the group. Expert in photo taking skills also. Highly recommend this guided tour. We really enjoyed ourselves.
